My Review: 5/5 Stars
After the doozy of a cliffhanger from the previous book, we of course had to have another here. But wow! So much going down in this story. Sorry, there are gonna be slight spoilers, but if you have read the series so far then you already know. And for bits in this book, nothing you can't assume. Rogue has sacrificed herself to Shawn while her boys all think she was playing them from the beginning and waiting for a moment to break them like they broke her all those years ago. But she was protecting them and had to do the one thing she knew would keep them from coming after her. As she goes to the lion's den, JJ and Maverick hold on tighter to one another and go find Chase. They won't let their family fall more apart from this. While Fox is off dealing with his own heartbreak after learning the truth. Lucky for us, our group isn't split for too long. Not when JJ and Maverick find Chase and he calls them out on being idiots for believing Rogue's lies. A rescue mission is in place. But everyone bears scars from everything that has happened so far. However, in good news, this group is starting to realize exactly what this thing between them is and what that future can bring. There is just one person who doesn't believe he can be in that future. It's gonna take some time for Fox to realize exactly what he is willing to walk away from. Lots of revelations in this book as well as pieces from their past are brought to light. And lots are game changers. The ending on this one was crazy and I'm ready to finally head into the final book and get my happy endings!
