Moonfall Book 1: When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker

Moonfall Book 1

The Creators did not expect their beloved dragons to sail skyward upon their end. To curl into balls just beyond gravity’s grip, littering the sky with tombstones. With moons.

They certainly did not expect them to fall.

As a valued Elding Blade of the rebellion group Fíur du Ath, Raeve’s job is to kill. To complete orders and never get caught. When a renowned bounty hunter is employed by The Crown to capture a member of the Ath, Raeve’s world is turned upside down. Blood spills, hearts break, and Raeve finds herself at the mercy of the Guild of Nobles—a group of dual-beaded elementals who intend to turn her into a political statement. Only death will set her free.

Crushed beneath a mourning weight, Kaan Vaegor took the head of a king and donned his melted crown. Now on a tireless quest to assuage the never-ebbing ache in his chest, his hunt for a moonshard lures him into the belly of Gore’s notorious prison where he stumbles upon something that rips apart his perception of reality. A shackled miracle with eyes full of rage and blood on her hands.

The echo of the past sings louder than the Creators themselves, and even Raeve can’t ignore the truths blaring at her from a warmer, happier time.
However.
There’s more to this song than meets the eye, and some truths …
They’re too poisonous to swallow.

When the Moon Hatched is a fast-paced fantasy romance for fans of witty banter and strong, sassy protagonists. Beneath the cover is an immersive, vibrant world with mysterious creatures, a unique magic system, and a love that blazes through the ages.

My Review: 4/5 Stars

Raeve is an assassin. Tracking down bad people who have done very bad things. She relishes in taking them out. But when a bounty hunter arrives looking for her, it changes everything. Captured, tortured, grieving, she is waiting for death. Until Kaan Vaegor breaks her free. Now she is set on a path that holds the truth and missing pieces of her path. But it is something she does not want to know. Because nothing good ever lasts long for her. And if she feels this tug toward Kaan then she knows that it will only end in death. This is a big new fantasy world and I will say, takes a minute to get into it and figure it out all. We have dragons and magic and gods. We have a big cast of characters, lots of secrets, and just when you have some questions answered, we have several more things we want to know. It’s hard to explain and get into without spoilers. But overall, I really enjoyed diving into this world. The end definitely had me hooked and I am super grateful I read this just as book two was released. Though I’m sure I will regret it if book two ends with a cliffhanger like book one! But I really enjoyed this story and the characters especially. Lots of fun banter and the romance between Kaan and Raeve is really just starting. And with what we learn at the end, I can’t wait to see what happens next for them.

Siren’s Point Book 2: Facing Leeward by JJ Mulder

Siren’s Point Book 2

Winters are slow in Siren’s Point. For Nils Lee, that means solitude, tending his chickens, and minding his own. It means days of silence. For Oliver Martin, the season brings a different, unique set of challenges: home repairs and loneliness.

Neighbors and coworkers, Nils and Oliver are together more often than they are apart. It’s not enough, though, and both of them wish for more. More time, more companionship, more intimacy. Unsure of how to ask for it, they simply move forward as they are, ignoring the attraction growing between them.

Oliver knows he can be a lot. His personality, his energy, his inability to talk, or think, in a straight line. All of it, too much for most people, and certainly too much for quiet, calm Nils.

Nils has spent his life choosing silence. A partner was never in his future. And, until Oliver moved in next door, he might have said that life was perfect for him. Now, he wishes the short distance between their houses didn’t exist and Oliver was always near enough for Nils to hear him singing.

When a massive winter storm hits Siren’s Point, the choice about whether to close that last bit of space is made for them. With snow falling outside and a fire burning, Oliver and Nils find out there is more than one way to stay warm during winter.
********
My Review: 5/5 Stars
Nils and Oliver are together more often than they are apart. After a year of working together, their friendship has truly developed. While Oliver can never sit still and always has something to say, Nils is a quiet listener. Though mostly because talking with his stutter is never easy. But he never tires of hearing Oliver talk. Especially when Oliver can read him so well and actually gives him a chance to speak when Nils wants to. Now that it is winter and they aren’t on the boat so often, they still find themselves drifting to one another. Oliver is constantly attempting home repairs with Nils’s help and Oliver loves cooking Nils food and visiting his chickens. So it’s only a matter of time that they come to realize that this friendship between them feels like so much more. And when they take a chance to become more, it may be the best thing that’s happened to both of them. I adored these two! They were just so sweet and I loved watching their friendship slowly develop into something so much more. They balanced one another out perfectly and also gave each other safe spaces to truly be themselves. I loved getting to know them more and watch them fall in love. Another great book in this series, and I can’t wait for more!

Radford U Book 2: Crossing Lines by Mel McCabe

Radford U Book 2

Asher Reynolds–Dutch to his teammates–is the guy who always wants things to be fair. But there’s nothing fair about losing his sister in a car accident a few months ago, along with suffering an injury that’s going to derail his senior year with the Radford Renegades.

Wyatt Chase is used to handling whatever life throws at him. A former pro hockey player who lost his career to a brutal injury, he’s now a single dad to a precocious five-year-old—and Radford’s newest physical therapist. He’s no stranger to clawing his way forward in spite of the odds.

What he’s not expecting is for Asher–broody and sullen and injured–to be his first serious case so early in the season. Or his next door neighbor. And he’s definitely not expecting for Asher’s depth–and pain–to stir something in Chase that he’s spent years trying to push past.

He knows that Asher is one-hundred-percent off limits. He’s Chase’s patient, and it’s his responsibility to help rehab him and keep the line between them clear.

So, why do they keep finding themselves crossing it over and over again?

*********

My Review: 4/5 Stars

Asher is drowning. Him and his sister were in a car accident over the summer and while Asher may have had a serious injury, his sister didn’t make it. Since then, he has been drowning in his grief and trying to get by day by day. He was able to at least make the decision to go back to Radford U and finish his senior year. He is on scholarship to play hockey so he has to get back in shape for it. That means going to physical therapy. There is no chance he’ll play this semester but that doesn’t mean he can’t be ready for next if he follows his program. But motivation is hard to find completely. But that won’t happen under Chase’s watch. Chase knows what it is like to lose his hockey career and his job as a physical therapist is one he loves. Especially when it helps players get back to the game they love. But Asher stumps him. Because right now, he doesn’t see someone fighting to get back to playing, he sees someone struggling to just be there in the moment. Bit by bit though, Chase helps spark Asher back to life. Just in more ways than one. Because the connection between them becomes hard to ignore the more time they spend together. And when they are neighbors and Chase sees Asher treating his five year old daughter, it’s hard to resist. Starting anything between them beyond player and trainer is a terrible idea. But it’s only a matter of time until they cross a line they can’t take back. But love may just be worth the risk. Great story all around! Asher really was just not doing well in the beginning of the story and for good reasons. But I loved seeing the spark come back to him bit by bit as the story went on. And that Chase was someone who could be there for him and help him get through it and become so much more. These two were really great for one another in a lot of ways. And they well deserved their happy ending.

Radford U Book 1: Power Play by Mel McCabe

Radford U Book 1

The one who broke him may just be the one who puts him back together.

Kellan O’Reilly’s life is a delicate balancing act. He needs to have a stellar last season to get picked up by an NHL team, not get caught by his coach working an overnight job that he desperately needs to keep to help his family, and, adding even more to his plate, figure out why his new tutor seems to hate him on sight.

Bennett “Wells” Wellington III has done everything that he can to avoid tutoring athletes. So, when he’s forced to help Kellan O’Reilly, the carefully crafted facade he’s worked for years to perfect starts crumbling. Because even if Kellan doesn’t remember him, he’s part of the reason that Wells is unrecognizable as his past self.

Now, it’s Wells that holds the power after all these years, and he has no plans to give it up. The only problem is… Kellan’s nothing like the kid he used to know, and as he tries to make Kellan’s life hell, he’s starting to wonder who’s actually in charge. Or why being with Kellan is suddenly making him feel more like himself than ever before.

As they spend more time together, Wells’ commanding presence and dominating nature unlocks a part of Kellan that’s like a drug to experience. Better than the sleep he desperately needs. More gratifying than the record goals he’s putting up this season. And, honestly, the best sex of his life, hands down.

But Wells seems to hate that he wants him. How can Kellan make him realize that the two of them together could be the best thing that’s ever happened to both of them?

********

My Review: 4/5 Stars

Kellan is doing everything he can to stay above water. He’s in his senior year of college where he needs to play his best hockey in order to get signed on by a NHL team. But he is also constantly working when he can to help his mom pay the bills after his stepdad left her and his brothers several months earlier with no warning. Not that Kellan isn’t glad to see the guy gone, but taking care of so many people is a lot for Kellan and his mom. And because of all that, it’s no matter that his grades are slipping a bit and his coach signs him up for a tutor. But the moment he walks into Wells’s office, he knows the guy hates him. But he can’t figure out why. Wells has a good reason to dislike Kellan. Back when he was a freshman in high school, Kellan wasn’t exactly nice and it led to Wells transferring. But he can see the look on Kellan’s face that he has no idea who Wells is. And as hard as he tries to hang on to his anger, he is conflicted when he doesn’t see a hint of the guy that Wells used to know. Has Kellan truly changed? Even more mind blowing is the attraction they have with one another. One that once they act on is hard to resist after that. But Wells has plenty of reasons besides their shared history to keep his walls up. Doesn’t mean Kellan won’t try to break them down bit by bit. A good story all around. Definitely looking forward to reading the next one.

Betrothed in Fury by Devon McCormack

LOGAN
Charming. Sexy as sin. Out of his damn mind.
That sums up Killian Lorde, one of the most powerful crime bosses in Fury’s underworld.
Since his father passed, he’s stepped into his role as head of the family business.
A role which I, the golden boy of the Wilde clan, more than understand. Forced by birth into a life of corruption and moral bankruptcy, I exist for one to protect my family at all costs.
Only this time, the price is my freedom.
Unbeknownst to me, to maintain my family’s alliance with the Lordes, I’ve been betrothed to Killian.
I’ve always known him to be a bastard, but this arrangement brings out the worst in him.
He’s a monster. Pure, unfettered evil.
He doesn’t just want to marry me. He wants to control and possess me, and when his curiosity becomes obsession, we struggle for power as he demands the one thing I can’t give him.
My complete and total surrender.

Dark MM Romance, grumpy/psycho-sunshine, mob-bosses-to-lovers, morally gray men, frighteningly possessive MC, “Oh, what did that contract say?” arranged marriage, bi-awakening, touch-him-and-die (like, tied up in a sack, thrown into a lake, and left for dead), anything-for-the-family vibes, torture-as-foreplay (just mob bosses doing what they love), “Did I say you could have mashed potatoes?” (iykyk)

********

My Review: 4/5 Stars

When Logan’s father was on his deathbed, he made Logan make him a promise and sign a contract. And though he insisted on explaining to Logan and reading what he signed, Logan refused simply because he wasn’t ready to admit his father was about to leave him. Logan knew that he was about to inherit the responsibility of protecting their family and taking his place as one of the crime bosses. Ten years later, he finally finds out what that promise entails. Killian has been patient and has made his own promise to his father to honor their alliance with Logan’s family and protect them. And he’s ready to collect. Because that contract? It was for Killian and Logan to get married. Shocked at first, Logan is ready to fight but he knows deep down he’ll have no choice. He needs Killian’s protection. But that doesn’t mean he will easily submit to Killian’s orders. Well, mostly. Because the more these two interact with one another, the more this darker attraction between them sparks. They’re obsessive, possessive, and have a lot more in common than they realize. I really enjoyed Logan and Killian’s story. This was a darker mm mafia romance and I was all for it. The chemistry between Killian and Logan was great and I loved seeing their relationship really develop as the story went on. It became so much more than either had ever imagined. I’m really hoping we get more stories in this world!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Magic and Romance Book 2

Orok Half-giant. Rawball defensive tank on the Philadelphia Hellhounds. Follower of Urzoth...only Orok’s tired of following the god of aggression.

Alexo Cheerleader. Human? A dancer with a stadium’s worth of secrets.

So, like a sap, he agrees.

As Orok tries to drop the fake part of their fake-relationship, Alexo’s dangerous truths emerge. To save him, Orok will have to sacrifice far more than his divine association.

********

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Orok finally returns home to Philly to play roarball for the Hellhounds. He is more than glad to be back in this town his with his best friend and for the law suit that has been years in the making to be finally over. Even more, he is just tired of being a follower of Urzoth and is ready to leave him and his past behind. He wants that clean slate. But fate has different plans. When he first sees Alexo, Orok knows he is in trouble. There is a connection between them and Orok wants to find out more. What he doesn’t like is when someone tries to hurt Alexo. In standing up for him though, turns out that catches a lot of attention. The Hellhounds and church of Urzoth propose a plan to better their PR if Alexo and Orok agree to a fake relationship. And somehow they find themselves saying yes. But Orok wants real, Alexo has secrets, and there is danger in the shadows ready to hurt them both. Loved being back in this world! This was such a fun magical world and I’m glad we got to read Orok’s story. The guy has been through enough and deserves some happiness. And Alexo is really the perfect guy for him. It was fun watching these two fall for one another. Just a fun story all around!

Bridgeport Jetties The Call-Up Years Book 0.5: Finding Home by Lizzie C. Koz

Bridgeport Jetties The Call-Up Book 0.5

Finding Home is a spicy best-friends-to-lovers MM baseball romance with an unrequited love that refuses to fade, a painful separation, a kiss that changes everything, and selfies that say what words can’t.

The world keeps the ugly truth about love to itself: Not everyone falls in love with someone who will love them back.

EASTON

My dream is finally coming true. Why? Because your boy just got drafted to play pro baseball. Yee-haw! (Ohmygod, did I just say yee-haw?)

There’s one glaring thing missing though. Maddox. My ride-or-die. It was always supposed to be us—major league ballplayers, side by side.

But now I’m the one who made it, and I have to leave him behind.

I don’t know how I’ll handle the distance when I haven’t spent a day apart from Maddy since we were six.

I keep reminding myself it’ll be okay. We’ll talk every day. Text, call, video chat. It’ll be like he’s right there with me.

Yeah, this is fine. Totally fine.

But then why do I feel like I’m leaving an essential part of myself back in Connecticut?

MADDOX

I did the one thing literally everyone tells you not to do.

I fell in love with my straight best friend.

Yep. That’s me—the cliché gay boy who lost his heart to a boy who can’t love him back. I know it’s stupid. I know I should move on. But me and East? We’re inseparable. From T-ball at six to D1 college ball, we’ve done everything together…and that’s exactly the problem.

I can’t get over him like this. I need space. And I think this is my chance. He’s leaving for his minor league assignment for a couple months.

I’ll use the time to cleanse myself of Easton Winters, and when he comes back, we’ll be best friends again. For real this time.

No more pathetic pining.

********

My Review: 4/5 Stars

Easton and Maddy have been best friends since they were kids. They are inseparable. But growing up is hard. Especially when Maddy realized that he was in love with his best friend and is positive that Easton will never feel the same back. They move through college with Maddy hiding this and watching Easton never realize. Then when Easton is drafted to play baseball, Maddy makes a deal with himself. The distance is excuse to separate. He’ll get over his feelings. He has to. But cutting off Easton is breaking his heart in a whole other way. And turns out, it is destroying Easton as well. Easton has realized long ago that he doesn’t feel things the same way as others but he sure feels something awful when Maddy won’t talk to him. And it’s time to fix that. Oof, these two! Poor guys. Really torture themselves before we get the happy ending they deserve. Was glad I got to go back and see how these two found their way to one another!

Bridgeport Jetties The Call-Up Years Book 1: Stealing Forever by Lizzie C. Koz

Bridgeport Jetties The Call-Up Years Book 1

“I can’t afford to lose to Shane Michaels. When it comes to baseball or restraint.”

SHANE
This bro got invited to play with the big boys for Spring Training. Hell to the yes! I am so going to show the Jetties they need me on their Triple-A roster this year. Manifest.

Except the Jed Stone Jr. is back. Legend’s son. Permanent scowl. Stands in my way like a wall I’m supposed to climb.

One I really, really want to climb.

He may have stolen my position, but I refuse to be left behind. Not again. The problem? He’s hated me from the start. And I kinda want to prove him wrong. Now that it’s affecting our game, I have to. If I don’t, we both lose.

Call me crazy…but I have a plan I know I shouldn’t.

Time to climb some walls.

JED
I was moments from The Show when my arm blew out.

But I’m back. And this is my year. Quick stint in Triple-A, then I’m getting the call-up. Simple. Controlled. Focused.

Nothing is stopping me. Especially not perpetually smiling, cocky golden boys who think life is a walk in the park.

Shane Michaels is talented. The bane of my existence. And god-damned beautiful.

I shouldn’t want him. I definitely shouldn’t touch him.

Considering he’s straight, that shouldn’t be difficult—until I find out he isn’t.

If I lose control, I lose baseball. And baseball is all I have left.

But Shane might be the one thing I can’t control.

Stealing Forever is a spicy rival teammates-to-lovers MM baseball romance with a grumpy star and his sunshine rival, a soft dom/brat dynamic, superstition-fueled steamy time, found family, emotional hurt/comfort, and one bed that changes everything.

********

My Review: 4/5 Stars

Shane is the embodiment of sunshine. Despite all the hardships he dealt with growing up, he does his best to maintain his happiness and outgoing personality. And an invite to Spring Training with his best friends is a dream come true. Time to prove himself. But it isn’t easy. Not when he shares the same position as legendary Jed Stone Jr. Standing there in his grumpiness. But that’s okay, because Shane will win him over…eventually. Jed had a great childhood growing up with just his dad. His best friend. The dream was playing together one day on the field. But that dream disappeared when Jed’s dad died in a car accident. Since then, Jed hasn’t had much reason to smile. He lost himself for a bit but when an injury really threatened his career, he did everything to get back on track. To keep control. He still worries about his arm, especially with the way he has been playing, but this is the year to prove himself. But then Shane walks in. And Jed knows he has to step up. He just never imagined that when they are forced to work together that it would lead to so much more. He never imagined that he would be…happy again. I loved these two! A great sunshine meets grump. These two have been through a lot in their lives and it’s so sweet for them to find one another and connect in so many unexpected ways. They were so good for one another. Balancing one another out and being there when things got really hard. I really loved getting to know them and watching them fall hard for one another. Looks like a great cast of characters and I can’t wait for more!

Hit and Run Book 1: Switch-Hitter by EM Lindsey

Hit and Run Book 1

Get a personal chef, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.

And then Thierry shows up and Pietro realizes his mistake. Because he knows Thierry. A little too well.

Thierry is the man who told his ex to leave him.
Thierry is the man who punched Pietro and ran.
Thierry... is his ex-boyfriend’s best friend.

But Pietro also knows the man needs a job. An injury destroyed his former career and Pietro is nothing if not a bleeding heart. Besides, he doesn’t have time to search for a new chef, not with the World Series looming and his team ready to go all the way.

Life gets more complicated, though, when he and Thierry cross a line one night after a lot of wine and several bad jokes. And while hooking up is one thing, Pietro knows the last thing in the world he needs is for his heart to get involved.

Too bad it tends to make decisions without him.

Switch-Hitter is the first book in a fictional MLB series featuring a lonely baseball player with a chip on his shoulder and hope in his heart, a team ready to win no matter what it takes, a grumpy French chef who will defend escargot to the death, and a few bottles of dry red wine leading to the sweetest happily ever after. Each book in the Hit and Run Series stands alone, contains no cheating, and has a happily ever after.

********

My Review: 3.5/5 Stars

Pietro is in desperate need of a personal chef. His career as a professional baseball player keeps him very busy and add in his ADHD, cooking just has never truly worked for him. So he puts in a desperate request and finally gets a reply. He just never expected the man to show up at his door to be his ex’s best friend. The same guy who punched him in the face after said ex told him to do for a lie to make the ex feel better about himself. Talk about awkward. Thierry’s life as a bodyguard is finished when he gets hurt badly on the job. His life will never be the same and because of that, he at least gets a chance to make a go at a profession he actually wanted. A chef. But it isn’t easy when your body can’t always corporate with you. And when he gets an interview and finds out it is for Pietro, he can’t believe it. Especially when Pietro wants to hire him. It may start off rocky between them, but it also gives them a chance to actually get to know one another without the toxicity of their mutual acquaintance. And in doing so, it may be the best thing for them. A pretty good story overall. I enjoyed getting to know Pietro and Thierry as they fell for one another.

Eli Preston and Xaden Pierce have been working together for a year and still haven’t figured out how to get along.

Eli, a financially struggling Computer Science scholar, has always been unimpressed by Xaden—the happy-go-lucky and flirty football scholar who seems to have everything. Working together is a nightmare, considering they argue every waking second What makes it even more difficult is the fact that Eli’s not actually unimpressed, and that he’s been crushing on Xaden since the day they met.

Xaden has never quite understood why Eli wants nothing to do with him. He’s always thought they could have a wonderful friendship—and more than that, if given the chance.

Closing Time is an MM Contemporary Romance Novella between two part-time baristas who are complete opposites and completely into each other.

My Review: 4/5 Stars

Eli and Xaden have been working together at the coffee shop for a year now, and they still can’t get along. Eli gets annoyed with how late Xaden is, where he leaves his bag that Eli tends to trip on, and the fact that Xaden flirts with everyone. So okay, maybe truthfully Eli has a crush but he is trying super hard not to. But when their boss tells them they need to sort it out, she forces them to close the shop down and do some inventory and figure out a way to get along. And in doing so, it may just finally give them the chance to actually say what’s on their minds. Because it looks like Eli isn’t the whole one who has some feelings. This was a cute, fun short novella! Eli and Xaden’s banter was fun and I love that they finally got out of their own way and did something with the spark that was clearly between them. A fun story for sure!

Camrose U Book 2: Off the Boards by Maia Kinley

Camrose U Book 2

I’m obsessed with the prettiest, smartest guy on campus—and he’s never even looked my way.

Killian
It’s my last season playing college hockey, and I’m determined to help get the team all the way to championships this year. Unfortunately, whether I actually get to be on the ice depends on how well I do in statistics. I need a tutor, and the one person my professor swears can help me refuses to even give me the time of day.
I’ve been into Maddox since the first time I saw him, but he’s not into jocks—and he doesn’t even acknowledge my existence. When I finally ask if he’ll tutor me, he shuts me down immediately.
But I’m not one to give up. This might be my last chance to get close to him, and I can’t let that slip away.

Maddox
I don’t do jocks. I don’t befriend them, date them, or tutor them. Not after… everything.
But when Killian, one of the Camrose Rams’ star players, barges into my life, avoiding him becomes impossible. He’s loud, charming, and way too persistent—and he looks at me as if I hung the moon. Somehow, I end up getting roped into tutoring him. And letting him into parts of my life I’ve kept off-limits.
As much as I try to keep my distance, it’s impossible. He’s everything I swore to stay away from, and exactly what I can’t seem to resist.

Off the Boards is an M/M nerd/jock romance, perfect for readers who like study sessions brimming with tension, flirty and overprotective hockey players, and a tutor who’s very close to breaking his no-jocks rule.

*********

My Review: 4/5. Stars

Killian has been obsessed with Maddox since he first saw him. He’s gorgeous and smart but has yet to look Killian’s way. And though Killian pesters his teammate, Caleb, to introduce him to Maddox, since they are best friends, Caleb won’t do it. But when Killian is having trouble in his stats class and Maddox is the TA, he jumps at the chance to be tutored by him. But convincing Maddox is a challenge. And just when he loses hope of passing and getting to know Maddox, Maddox agrees. Bit by bit Maddox coaxes Maddox to get to know one another. But can he convince him to give them a chance to date? Maddox doesn’t date jocks. Not after high school where he was bullied and it only stopped because his best friend got involved. Either way, he’ll stay far away. But staying away from Killian is impossible. How can Maddox stay strong when Killian is sweet and kind and charming and just always so understanding? Maddox’s walls are only so thick. And it’s only a matter of time until they come crumbling down. These two were a lot of fun. I was excited to see how Killian was gone win over Maddox. And I loved that even though they were so different, they fit very well together. They cared for one another a lot and it really showed the longer they spent time together. A great story all around and I can’t wait for the next one!

Camrose U Book 1: Zone Entry by Maia Kinley

Camrose U Book 1

My new teammate and roommate is the perfect golden boy with a fake smile that pisses me off. So why do I want to kiss him?

Caleb
My new teammate pisses me off. Everyone else is falling over themselves when Golden Boy flashes a fake smile. Me? I just want to wipe it off his face.
Off the ice, there’s no escaping Nick Sandoval’s dimples and plastic grin—because he’s my new roommate.
And on the ice? We need to get our act together, or else our final year of college hockey’s going to waste.
I can’t ignore him, and I won’t put up with that bullshit front he puts up for everyone.
Especially when I push his buttons just right and get a glimpse at something no one else has seen—the real Nick Sandoval.
He’s passionate, snarky… and hot as sin.

Nick
I’m in control on and off the ice. I don’t cause trouble and I don’t draw attention.
Until now.
Because Caleb Jennings is determined to make my ice-cold control shatter. He’s antagonistic, impossible to ignore, and has made it his personal mission to wind me up.
My game’s a mess when we’re on the ice together. When I get back to my room, I can’t escape because he’s there as well.
Caleb turns me into a person I don’t recognize. A version that fights back. A version that wants things I really, really shouldn’t.
And one of those things I want… is him.

Zone Entry is an M/M dislike-to-love romance, perfect for readers who like the tension between roommates, hockey teammates, and hormonal college men.

*********

My Review: 4/5 Stars

Nick likes to be in control. He keeps his head down the best he can and tries never to purposely draw attention. He does this on and off the ice. Everyone on campus thinks he is the nicest guy around and always has a smile. Truthfully, the smiles aren’t real most of the time. But no one calls him out on it like Caleb. When Caleb transfer to his school to play on Nick’s hockey team, he is the first to call Nick out. To make it worse, they are roommates. Nick tries to keep his control but Caleb smashes it at every turn. But is that a good thing or a bad thing? Caleb transferred to be closer to his family. But the one thing that really bothers him is Nick aka the Golden Boy. The moment he gives Caleb his face smile, Caleb snaps. He wants to figure out who Nick really is. Never did he expect to break down Nick’s walls and find someone he actually could like. Someone he may even have feelings for. And when Nick starts to feel it too? Well, they both know they are in trouble. I really enjoyed this story! Nick needed Caleb in his life. To be pushed a bit and learn that he can make choices he wants and not what he assumes others want from him. And Nick is there for Caleb when it matters most. They balance one another so well. I just really loved these two and watching them fall hard for one another. Can’t wait to pick up the next one!

The Morettis: A Complete Collection by Beth Bolden

Come meet the Morettis . . .

The sweetest, busiest, nosiest, most romantic Italian family, all with hearts of gold and the skills to send your tastebuds to heaven.

Meet Gabe Moretti, who makes his Nana's meatballs out of the food truck he owns with his cousin, and can't help but antagonize-and swoon over-the sweet man with the sad eyes who happens to own a food truck with the exact same name.

Meet Ren Moretti, who's sworn off love and relationships, until the ex-soldier who visits his food truck wants more than just Ren's meatball subs. He wants a partner and a future, and it's Ren he's got his sights set on. Can a lifelong bad boy change his spots?

Meet Luca Moretti, all work and no play. He's sent to Indigo Bay to turn around his aunt's failing Italian deli, and discovers the playful local baker who's determined to turn his frown upside down.

Meet Enzo Moretti, who's left Indigo Bay to pursue his mural art dreams, but then finds himself back in his hometown for one hot summer. The only way to cool down is with the owner of the gourmet ice cream shop. Neither are looking for love, but the only way to combat Enzo's matchmaking mama is to pretend they're falling head over heels.

Meet Rocco Moretti, who's just moved to Christmas Falls and bought the town's adorable, picturesque coffee shop. But he's hardly filled with holiday cheer when the changes he makes goes down like coal in the town's stocking. Coming to his rescue is the town's deputy mayor, who convinces him to go all-in not just with coffee, but with love.

Meet Marco Moretti, who's so busy running his family's restaurant to have a relationship. But then an old childhood friend shows up in Napa, ready to bail Marco out from a sudden pastry-chef-emergency. Maybe love can be sweet after all.

Includes On a Roll, Ride or Die, Sweet as Pie, Cherry on Top, Flake It Til You Make It, and Piece of Cake, a novella currently unavailable anywhere else.

My Review: 4/5 Stars

The ultimate collection of the Morettis is here! This was a great way to dive in and make me go back to read series I haven’t just yet. If you are familiar with Beth’s world, the Moretti family is a big one. This collection holds 6 of their stories. This big Italian family will win your heart in every book as you watch them fall in love. Each successful in their own ways, they are just a big fun group to get to know!

But there is a new story in this one not yet seen! And that is the one I want to focus on here. Piece of Cake is about Marco Moretti! Marco is in desperate need of a pastry chef. Especially when his last one got upset and left because she thought he was flirting with her and he was very much not. He learned in his 20s dating coworkers/employees was not a good idea. He just likes to be nice and friendly to his staff. And this time, it was taken quite the wrong way. So when his sister tells him about an old friend returning to Napa who would be perfect to hire for a bit and train one of their staff, he jumps at it. But seeing Andrew after all these years was quite a wake up call. They’ve both changed so much. And this time, it’s Marco who has the crush. So what can he possibly do? Absolutely adorable these two. I wish we got a whole book for them but this novella was great! And it was about time for what I believe was the last Moretti who needed to fall in love.

A great collection all around! You will not be disappointed!

For all my other reviews, please see the original book! They were all quite wonderful!
