The moment Tate spots Ryan, his obsession tendencies kick in. Tate has his own sources of trauma from his uncle and he has done what he can to blend into society despite his psychopathic traits. He too has his own brother to protect. And he has a promise to fulfill. He needs to marry someone. Good thing he has his target picked. Their connection is animalistic and raw and real. Tate may not know what he is feeling, but he knows he will protect Ryan at all costs. Ryan knows that falling for someone who may not have the ability to love him back is a bad idea, but tell that to his heart. What a rollercoaster with these two! These two have been through so much. You want to rage on their behalves for all they have dealt with. And when it comes down to it, these two were pretty much made for one another. If you are a fan of S. Legend’s dark mm hockey books, you definitely do not want to miss this one! I cannot wait to for book two!

He has learned to build a wall around himself. Then he meets Corey, his new next door neighbor. Corey is the survivor of abuse. His ex hurt him so badly, he was in the hospital for quite a while. Even years later, he still struggles. Though for him he has the added bonus of dealing with some other intense mental health issues. So making friends? Impossible. Until Silas. It starts with an exchange of gifts then of words between their windows. And eventually to talking. They build this new thing between them bit by bit. In some ways healing themselves, but truthfully, they both have a long way to go. Doesn’t mean they can’t fall in love. What a story! Very intense, these two have been through a lot. I love that they found one another when they believed they never would find someone who gets them and can care about them. And even when they did, they knew they still had a long way to go to heal for themselves and not just one another. Just a beautiful story of healing and love and hope.

And the pressure is more than he can truly handle. Especially when he suffers from anxiety. He tested at every turn at a time he needs to remain focused. So naturally it’s time to meet a guy. Or more like fall in front of one and him come to Austin’s rescue. And oh, did I mention he’s ranked number 2 in the world and will have to play Austin if they both make it far enough? Talk about complicated! Watching these two become friends and possibly more during a time where their focus must be on their sport, is quite something! I really enjoyed getting to know Austin as he fought tooth and nail for his dreams but also getting the help he needs to manage his anxiety. It’s not an easy journey, but you’ll root for Austin the whole way through. A great story overall!

I have always adored this series and I was so glad to hear we were getting one more and that it was Caitlin’s! We get a grown up Caitlin who has been through some heartache and is currently struggling with adult life. For one, she has moved back home after being laid off and is struggling to figure out what to do next. And two, Caitlin’s love for the Faire has died after some massive heartbreak when she was eighteen. Falling in love at the Faire wasn’t a good idea. The magic she felt for the place isn’t the same. But yet she finds herself dragged back to the Faire thanks to her family to help them out. There, she never expects to run into him. Alex. The one who broke her heart those years ago. And in turn, looks like he broke his own heart. Not realizing just how hard he fell for Caitlin before ending it. Maybe they were young and dumb, but that doesn’t mean the hurt isn’t there. Caitlin does her best to stay away, but she is reminded over and over again the reason she fell for Alex so hard the first time. And now when he is determined to bring back her love of the Faire and to show her that he has changed as well? Well, you’ll have to see how long it takes for the walls around Caitlin’s heart to break down. Coming back to Willow Creek and the Ren Faire and just all these beloved characters is such a treat! I loved being back in this world. I loved the story. I loved getting to know a grown up Caitlin and meeting Alex. These two were truly great for one another, even if it took them a bit to figure out how to be with one another. If you loved this series, you definitely don’t want to miss this!

Until he realizes that her best friend lives in Wood Hollow. The last thing Dexter wants is the small town to know he is going to be a dad. He isn’t ready for everyone one to find out. So who is Viggo? Dexter does a little digging and turns out Viggo is a logger. Quiet, big, and perhaps a little grumpy. And while Viggo can’t seem to figure out at first why Dexter is appearing everywhere, it doesn’t take him too long to learn the truth. Now we have two protective men determined to make sure the pregnancy goes well and get to know one another for the sake of their now mutual friend. But the attraction between them has been brewing quietly and it’s only a matter of time until they give in. Love was never supposed to be on the table, but as the months go by and they learn more about one another and prepare the baby, well, maybe their futures can be even better. These two were so fun! I loved their grumpy and sunshine vibes. I loved how protective and sweet Viggo secretly was. They had such wonderful banter and chemistry. I loved watching them fall hard for one another. Both deserve so much happiness and it was sweet to see them finally go for it. Another great story in this series! And I cannot wait for the next one!

Kade is a great firefighter, but that doesn’t make him invincible. And when he ends up in the hospital and truly scaring his six-year-old son, he knows he has to make a change. He moves them back to his hometown to work at their fire station. The jobs will be significantly less risky in a small town and him and his son can stay with Kade’s brother. It’s a fresh start in a lot of ways and he never expects falling in love. Spencer never expected to see his high school crush again. High school may have been a terrible time for Spencer, but that didn’t stop him from wishing for Kade to notice him and maybe even saving him from the bullies who were supposedly Kade’s friend. Now Kade is back and with his young son. A son Spencer will have in his class. And while things may start off rocky between them due to Spencer holding on to the past a bit, the connection between them is undeniable. Building bit by bit until neither can resist. And it may just be the best thing for them. Really enjoyed this story! Kade is a great father and is always putting his son first. He deserves to find someone who loves him and his son. And Spencer is definitely that guy. And Spencer has been through so much as well and deserves a great guy. A great story all around and there is definitely some characters I am hoping to get their own books. So I’ll have to wait and see!

So I watched the movie the other day…and loved it so much I had to pick up the book. And the book did not disappoint! First, the movie was a great adaptation, in my opinion. It kept to the book super well. And the book itself was great! Details you wanted to know or didn’t realize you may have missed were in here. It was overall a great story! So, the story begins with Grace waking up on a spaceship, having to memory of how he ended up there. Throughout the story, bit by bit, his memories are returning and with in the reason he is in space and the problem Earth is facing. And what should have been a three person mission, is just one when Grace realizes his crew members didn’t survive. Alone in space, having to solve a major Earth crisis…it’s a lot. But lucky for him he isn’t alone for too long. Because he isn’t the only one in the universe with an Astrophage problem. I really enjoyed the story all around. The science fiction portion was an interesting thing for Grace to solve, the alien, Rocky, he meets is great too. I loved their friendship. I loved their banter. Grace was also a super hilarious point of view character. Likable and relatable in so many ways. You were rooting for him the whole way through and you were definitely laughing along with him too. This was a fun and interesting story all around of two unlikely heroes and friends trying to do the impossible. And if you liked the movie, you will definitely like the book and vice versa!

Holden has had plenty of trauma in his life and a big result is his selective mutism. It’s hard for him to speak, even when he really wants to. But he promised himself that he would never be weak again. Leading him to fight for money at his college. There he meets, Remi. The popular boy who everyone seems to love and Holden can’t help but not like him. That is, until they are forced to work together on a school project. Holden gets to see the real Remi and he isn’t like the ones Remi surrounds himself with. Could Remi actually be different than what Holden originally assumed? Well, Holden is about to find out considering he somehow agreed (or lost a bet) to be Remi’s fake boyfriend to Remi’s sister’s wedding in Italy. The moment Remi noticed Holden, he was hooked. He wanted to know about this mysterious and quiet guy, but too bad Holden was unaffected by Remi’s charm. But Remi won’t give up. He knows there is something special about Holden and he just wants to have a chance to find out. To explore this thing he feels between them. Remi may never have wanted a real relationship before either, but being with Holden?  Well, that’s a game changer. Loved these two! This was a great story all around. I loved getting to know Holden and Remi and watch them fall in love. Holden has a lot of trust issues and for good reason, and it was so great to see him let his walls down bit by bit and trust his gut that Remi may just be a safe place. And being with Holden really let Remi grow as a person. They were just really cute together! Great story!

A cute short story that follows hockey player, Thurston, volunteering at hockey camp. Where he sees Lyle again, the guy he had a crush on a few years earlier. And turns out, these two have some unfinished business. Super short, I really wish there was more to it! But I love the ice hockey world that Saxon writes in so any story is one I’m going to enjoy. Two chapters that are short and sweet and to the point. Promising an interesting future between Thurston and Lyle.

Joining the infamous Mike Bravo Ops to meet the godfather I never knew doesn’t go the way I expect. I’m hoping to meet the man I’ve only read about in my late father’s journals, someone who’s warm, caring, and a ride or die. I don’t understand how he can be the same man my father wrote so passionately about. Or why I find him annoyingly attractive.

The end of the Mike Bravo Ops series has arrived! And we are closing it out with Decaf and Hazard. A great way to end this series for sure. It’s time to learn a lot about these two. Like the fact that Decaf drinks a lot of coffee for a reason and the fact that he lost his best friend when they served in the military together. Decaf blames himself and how he was unable to save his friend. Now, so many years later, his best friend’s son arrives at Mike Bravo Ops. A son that Decaf never got to know because Hazard’s mom wouldn’t let him after she blamed himself for her husband’s death. Hazard doesn’t know the details of his dad’s death, but he knows he had to find Decaf because he would know everything about his dad. But when he arrives, it is clear that Decaf wants him far away from him. Months of antagonizing one another and months of realizing that underneath it all there is a deep attraction. But now, Mike Bravo has a big problem. They are being hunted and now it’s time to figure out a plan to survive. During this last mission, truths are revealed and the connection that Decaf was trying so hard resist is about to come crumbling down. But it may be just what he and Hazard both need. Like I said, a great way to end this series. I loved getting to know these two and see how their love story would play out considering their past history. And it just really tied a nice bow on all our favorite characters. You definitely don’t want to miss this!

We return to the Grishaverse in new and unique way for a short story told through mostly letters of some of my favorite characters. As two investigators meet to learn about the latest disaster in Ketterdam, it gives us a chance to catch catch up with Kaz, Inez, Jesper, and Wylan as they pass letters back and forth between them. Because we all know that anything that goes on in Ketterdam, the Crows are connected in some way. Loved being back in this world, even if it was for a short bit. Beautifully illustrated with some goodies hidden inside, you definitely don’t want to miss your chance on grabbing a copy!

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Jory and Asher are desperate to take action after everything they have learned so far. But taking action without a plan isn’t the greatest idea as they are reminded by Ky. The three of them have come along way since they met but there is still a lot of trust to be built. Someone wants them all dead, but figuring out who exactly is behind it all is coming with some complications. They’ll need to work together, learn to trust one another, and figure out how to save their kingdoms. Another book filled with revelations, yet many more questions than answers. We get some pretty great twists too! It’s definitely trick to explain all that is going on without spoilers, so you definitely don’t want to miss out on this newest book in the series! But I loved these three and the relationship they have with one another. It definitely grows stronger in this book between the three of them. It’s clear how much they care for one another and that the three of them being together is what they all want. It will only make them stronger in what is to come. And with that cliffhanger and a pretty big revelation? Well, I cannot wait to see what happens next!

My Review: 5/5 Stars

This series wouldn’t feel complete unless we got Aislin and Zuri’s story! This was a great novella for these two and see how Aislin finally takes the final step to share what her life is like with Zuri. From the moment, these two met, there were sparks. They got to start as friends before making it so much more. But Aislin will admit she has been holding back. While she can imagine Zuri can guess exactly what her family is like, telling her is different. But she can’t let her fear of losing Zuri keep her from telling the truth. It’s time to take a chance. Zuri knows Aislin hasn’t told her everything but she is there for when she does because she never imagined caring for someone the way she does Aislin. Especially after losing her own family. And when Zuri is threatened, she sees exactly what the O’Sheas are all about when it comes to protecting those they love. Absolutely loved these two! I was so happy to get a novella about them and see them get their happy ending. A great way to end this series!
