My Review: 5/5 Stars

I love when authors do books like this. We get one large final epilogue for all our favorite characters from this series. It's such a nice way to close it out. Each section covers a couple. We start with Matt and Noah, who are hit with some family news which will impact what they want for their future. Then we jump to the Fiji trip for Maddox and Damon and Ollie and Lennon. Maddox and Damon realize exactly what their next steps will be. They know they are ready for forever and also know it's time to put themselves first for a while over jobs. Ollie and Lennon get their first wake up call on their future when they see marriages (or non-marriages) and babies on the horizon. But whatever their future holds, they know it is together. Then we jump to Miller and Talon for their wedding! Which the way the day goes, it is just so them, it's perfect. And finally, Soren and Jet, are hit with what their happily ever will be and it's perfectly them too. And with a final jump ahead, we see how much has changed for all these characters and their futures. Such a fun series overall!

Fake Boyfriend Book 5: Hat Trick by Eden Finley

Fake Boyfriend Book 5

SOREN

You know what’s not fun? Going on a Fiji vacation with four other couples. Especially when recently single.

What’s even worse is when a past hook-up arrives unannounced.

Not only do we have a history, but he’s ten years younger and a famous rock star. Most importantly, he’s my friend’s little brother.

Being trapped on an island with Jet Jackson is going to be sweet torture because all I want is another chance.

I just don’t think he’s going to give it to me.

JET

You know what’s not fun? Escaping one guy who broke my heart only to run into another.

Being on the road for three years has left me exhausted. The last thing I want is for Caleb ‘Soren’ Sorensen to try for round two.

I can’t fight my draw to him. I’ve never been able to.

I’m suddenly back to being the naïve kid who stupidly lusted after a hockey player.

All I can think is if I let Soren get close, I’ll walk away from this vacation with a double broken heart.

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Three years ago, Soren and Jet had a night that neither would forget. One that would change them but they wouldn't know exactly would mean just yet. After that night, they saw one another once, and it didn't go how either wanted. And now, two years later a lot has changed. Everyone is in Fiji for vacation. And Soren is feeling the singleness being around the couples. What he had with the man he came out for is over and the man he let getaway, he doubts will give him a second chance. But then Jet arrives. And suddenly it doesn't seem so impossible. But Jet isn't in a great place himself. He was in a secret relationship for the last two years with a certain rockstar he was on tour with and now they are over and he needs the space. But he doesn't expect to feel that strong pull to Soren to come rushing back. But their connection is undeniable. And it seems that they are given a second chance. And when Jet's ex is forcing him to go back and finish the tour, Soren isn't ready to let Jet go again. He'll fight for them like he should have the first time. I loved these two! Their story is so sweet and heartbreaking and full of hope, all at the same time. You can't help but root for them despite the baggage that comes with it. Those two were definitely meant to me. They were a great couple to end this series on. Though thankfully we have one more book that is basically epilogues for all these guys before I have to say goodbye. Such a great series!

Fake Boyfriend Book 4.5: Winning You by Eden Finley

Fake Boyfriend Book 4.5

My Review: 5/5 Stars

In this short novella, we get Marty and Luce's story. They are new characters, but who they interact with aren't so new. Marty and Luce both enter a charity raffle with the hopes of winning tickets to a music festival. Two winners are chosen to go on a date at the festival that night. Both have different reasons for wanting to go the festival. For Marty, it's to meet Jay from Radioactive. And if you have been keeping up with the series, you know Jay (aka Jet) is Matt's brother who wants to play music for a living. And so far he is succeeding but not everything is great just yet. Marty loves the band and may also have a bit of a crush on Jay. As for Luce, he was in charge of the music festival until his partner basically backstabbed him and he wasn't allowed to check in on things. But he can't stay away. Well Luce and Marty get their wish and win the tickets. But their first conversation doesn't go exactly how either pictured. They don't hit it off right away but as they make their way to festival and spend some time together, they'll start to realize that maybe there is something between them. These two were great! The banter was fantastic and they just balanced one another so well. And their roles here won't end when it comes to Radioactive. Looking forward to hearing about them again in Jay's book!

Fake Boyfriend Book 4: Blindsided by Eden Finley

Fake Boyfriend Book 4

MILLER

When Talon left to play pro ball six years ago, the hole in my chest confused me. I focused my heartache into making my own NFL dreams come true, and by the time I was drafted, the longing I had for my best friend was buried deep.

Now he wants everything to be like it was in college, but we can't have threesomes and be reckless like we once were. The media storm would be enough to break both our careers.

That's not my biggest concern though. The torch I had for him burns brighter after so long apart, and there's nothing I can do about it. Marcus Talon is straight.

I need to stay away from him.

TALON

Years ago, Miller and I made a pact that we'd win a Super Bowl together. When I'm offered a position on his team in Chicago, I don't hesitate. I move across the country to chase a dream that's a decade old.

Only, now that I'm here, he's avoiding me every chance he gets. If he was anyone else, I'd cut my losses.

But this is Shane Miller--the guy who makes everything better just by existing in my universe. The guy I'd do anything for. The guy who's more to me than a brother, a friend, or even a teammate.

I'm not going to let him get away.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/44528307-blindsided

********

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Talon and Miller have known one another since college. They've played football side by side until Talon went to the NFL and when Miller eventually made it to the NFL he was on another team. But now, they are reunited and falling in to old habits. Like group hook ups. But Miller can't do that anymore. Because in their time apart he realized that he has feelings for Talon. And he can't just go back to the way they used to be. Not when his heart is on the line. For Talon, making the choice to play for the Warriors came up with a gut feeling and that feeling was really about Miller. He wanted him back in his life and he's not losing him. Especially when he starts to realize that he has feelings for Miller that go beyond friendship. And when an injury takes Miller out for the season, Talon gets a wake up call to losing Miller all over again. And he won't do that. The two of them will explore this new side of their relationship. One they realize early on is perfect. These two were definitely always meant to be together. But the journey to get there isn't easy. Coming out to the league isn't exactly a breeze at this point, just ask their friend Matt. But when they look at one another, they know this is it for them. And as long as they are together, then that's all that matters. Loved this story! So I have been reading these books by Eden Finley a bit out of order in the sense of the timeline. I basically read future books first, so I knew about these guys but not their story. So it's been rewinding and seeing these characters I loved and getting their origin story. This was def a favorite of the series and I only have a few left to go!

My Review: 5/5 Stars

What an ending to not only this series but to the Shadow City world in general! So much action as the group set out to save the shifters that have been taken and find a way to fix everything that has gone wrong since supernaturals were revealed to the world. It all comes down to this book. Jewel and Killian have come so far and their relationship is stronger than ever. They'll work together with their friends, old and new, to stop those who have been working against them. So much goes down in this story. So many revelations and closure on lots of our favorite characters. It's a whirlwind of a story. One you won't be able to put down. It was such a blast reading this series. And though I'm sad this story has ended, I look forward to many more books and worlds from Jen L. Grey!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Fake Boyfriend Book 3.5: It's Complicated by Eden Finley

Fake Boyfriend Book 3.5

Max has been in love with his childhood best friend, Ash, for years. The reason he has kept it a secret is because Ash also happens to be Max’s brother’s ex-boyfriend. Complicated doesn’t begin to explain their relationship.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/58933008-it-s-complicated

********

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Ash has loved Max since forever, but with Max being straight he knew nothing could ever happen. And when Max got his first serious girlfriend in college, he knew he had to move on. That's when his eyes finally opened to Ollie, Max's brother. But years have passed and Ollie and Ash are over and Ash is in a new relationship. One that comes crumbling down when he realizes he doesn't love this new man. And when he comes home, he finds Max kissing their old friend Jordan. A guy. Ash has never been so lost. For Max, it took him a while to realize that his feelings for Ash were more than friendship. It was in college he realizes that he was in love with Ash but as he tried to gather his courage to tell him, Ash announces him and Ollie are together. Their timing just never seems to work out right. Especially when Ash walks in on him kissing Jordan to see if his attraction was to Ash or guys in general. Cue another bad timing situation. But with it comes revelations. That they both have feelings for the other but having something between them can't happen. Max won't betray Ollie no matter his feelings for Ash. But what if Ollie would be okay with it? What if they can be together? Max is ready to fight for Ash. Something he should have done a long time ago. I was so curious about this story because like the title says, it's complicated. But a lesson that when you find the one you are meant to be with, you fight for them with all you have.

Fake Boyfriend Book 3: Deke by Eden Finley

Fake Boyfriend Book 3

OLLIE

Word of advice: don't come out to random guys in public restrooms. Even if they're charming and adorably nerdy and offer to help.

My family believe I can't be happy if I'm not out to the world. I have a bitter ex-boyfriend and an unstable NHL career to show for it. A fake boyfriend seems like an easy and quick solution to get my family off my back, and this guy is volunteering. I take him up on it without asking his name.

I really should've asked for his name.

LENNON

Word of advice: learn how to introduce yourself properly.

In my defense, I don't recognize Ollie Strömberg right away. I cover football, not hockey.

I'm not supposed to see him again, and he's never supposed to find out I'm a reporter.

That all changes when my editor reassigns me.

It's a lesson I should've learned by now. Nothing's changed since high school. Jocks still hate nerds. But even worse, athletes hate journalists. Especially ones who know their secret.

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Ollie has a problem. He's hiding in the restroom at a restaurant from his loving family who are still concerned many months later about him and his break up with his ex-boyfriend. They are also the family that is very supportive of him being gay and wonder why he just won't tell the world. But to Ollie, it's not that simple. Not for a professional hockey player. He can't and won't be the first to come out. He may have lost his ex for that reason, but hockey is everything to him. He won't lose that. Luckily for him at this moment, Lennon walks in the door. And in a weird and witty conversation, Ollie finds himself asking Lennon to be pretend to be his boyfriend for the next hour to get his family off his back. Lennon is happy to help but the moment he steps out there, he realizes two things. One, that the guy he thought was hot and helping out is the famous Ollie Stromberg hockey player. And two, Ollie didn't ask for his name and has no idea that he is a sports reporter. The dinner goes as smoothly as one can expect. The family know Lennon as Clark and him and Ollie go their separate ways (despite the fact that they connected). And months later, they are thrown together once more but not in the way either expected. Ollie can't believe he not only outed himself to a sports reporter but this is the same guy who has been writing about him and his career. It's not the happiest of reunions but Ollie can't stay mad forever. Not when he gets to know Lennon and realize that he is actually a great guy. And though they both know nothing can truly happen between them, they can't help but seek the other out. Ollie and Lennon were such a fun pair! Lots of chemistry and the story went in some unexpected directions. Especially near the end! This is a fun series so far and I'm glad I have a bunch left to go!

Fake Boyfriend Book 2.5: Rebound by Eden Finley

Fake Boyfriend Book 2.5

ARON

I’ve always known Wyatt was hot, but scotch and half a bottle of tequila makes him so Goddamn beautiful.

After my last disastrous relationship with a close friend, you'd think I'd learn my lesson and choose someone else for a rebound. Someone I don't have a solid friendship with.

I should definitely stay away from Wyatt.

But when have I ever listened to logic?

WYATT

I’d long forgotten my college crush on Aron. He was never a possibility, having friend-zoned me from the beginning.

But now he’s drunk and looking for a rebound.

It’d totally ruin our almost decade-long friendship. I have to say no and be the bigger person … right?

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/41220258-rebound

********

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Aron broke the number one rule when it comes to friends with benefits: don't get feelings. And unfortunately for him, this isn't the case of both sides catching feelings and realizing they want more. Instead, Aron scares Noah away and then shortly after is shocked to see that Noah, Mr. Doesn't Do Relationships or Feelings, has a boyfriend. How? Aron is hurt and confused and it needs a rebound. But maybe rebounding with another one of his closest friends isn't the best idea. Didn't he already learn his lesson? But, why is Wyatt different? Wyatt is out of a relationship himself and he doesn't want to lose Aron as a friend by being one another's rebound. But that college crush he had Aron is slowly coming back and reminding him why he fell for Aron the first time. And when Aron comes to realize that maybe he wasn't heartbroken over Noah, just feeling rejected and feeling ready for a real relationship, he'll see that the person for him has been there all along. This was a cute novella of Aron and Wyatt's story! It was short and sweet and a realization of a friendship that could be so much more when you add in love.

Fake Boyfriend Book 2: Trick Play by Eden Finley

Fake Boyfriend Book 2

MATT

Want to know the fastest way to get screwed out of a football career? Get photographed in a compromising position in a gay bar. Yep, welcome to my life.

My agent says he can fix my image. He wants me to become the poster boy for gay football players. Me? I just want back on the field. I’ll do anything to play for the NFL again, even pretend to have a steady boyfriend. If only my fake boyfriend wasn’t Noah Huntington III—the most arrogant, entitled rich guy in the world.

NOAH

Pretend to be Matt Jackson’s boyfriend, my best friend said. It’ll be fun, he said. What Damon neglected to mention is Matt is surly and bitter. Being his boyfriend is a job in itself. From his paranoia over being constantly photographed to his aversion to PDA, being with Matt isn’t the care-free fake relationship I expected when I signed on to do this.

It’s supposed to be a win-win. I get to stick it to my politician dad who thinks no one is good enough for the Huntington name, and Matt’s reputation of being the bad boy of football dies.

What I don’t expect is to start caring for the guy. That’s not part of the plan. Then again, neither is fooling around with him on my private jet.

Oops.

********

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Matt has a bit of a problem. After getting photographed in a compromised position at a club, the whole world knows he is gay. Not the way he ever imagined being outed. And on top of that, any contract that may have been coming his way for his football career is nonexistent. Lucky for him he has a new agent with plan. Damon asks his friend Noah for a huge favor. Be the fake boyfriend of his new client. And Noah for his own reasons (aka pissing off his dad for one) agrees. But faking a relationship is easier said than done. Matt is surly to the max and they butt heads right away. However, with some real talk and giving into their attraction, things take a different turn. Neither are looking to fall in love. They have a rule against it. But that still won't stop it from happening. Too bad there will be other complications in the way as well. Gotta love Matt and Noah! They were a fun couple. Total opposites in so many ways, but at the same time the two of them actually understand one another in ways that others don't. Really loved their story and I'm looking forward to the next ones in this series!

Fake Boyfriend Book 1: Fake Out by Eden Finley

Fake Boyfriend Book 1

MADDOX

The reason I rarely go home is three simple words: I’m a liar.

When the pressure to marry my childhood sweetheart became too much, I told her I was gay and then fled to New York like my ass was on fire.

Now, five years later and after a drunken encounter, I find myself invited to her wedding. And I have to bring my boyfriend—the boyfriend who doesn’t exist because I’m straight.

At least, I think I am. Meeting the guy I’m bribing to be my boyfriend for the weekend makes me question everything about myself.

DAMON

When my sister asks me to pretend to be some straight guy’s boyfriend, my automatic response is to say no. It’s because of guys like him people don’t believe me when I tell them I’m gay.

But Maddox has something I need.

After an injury that cost me my baseball career, I’m trying to leave my playing days behind and focus on being the best sports agent I can be. Forty-eight hours with my sister’s best friend in exchange for a meeting with a possible client. I can do this.

I just wish he wasn’t so hot. Or that he didn’t kiss like he means it.

Wait … why is the straight guy kissing me?

My Review: 5/5 Stars

So I've seen Damon and even Maddox in plenty of other Eden Finley books and I have finally looped back around to get their story! Been reading out of chronological order, but I finally made it! I was so excited to see who Damon was and what his story was and boy was it a fun one. Our story starts with Maddox who is in a bit of a predicament when he runs into his ex-girlfriend on her bachelorette party night out. The same ex he told he was gay in order to break up with her. And when panic ignites at her saying things bout it being a sign she sees him, he tells her he has a boyfriend. And for some reason to her that means invite them both to the wedding. Well lucky for Maddox, his best friend Stacy knows someone who can be his pretend boyfriend for the weekend. Her brother Damon. What starts as just a ruse, leads to Maddox realizing maybe he isn't exactly straight after all. Things are clicking together and his attraction to Damon is undeniable. For the first time, Maddox actually wants to be with someone and date them. Too bad Damon isn't ready for that just yet. Damon has had his own past. A bad ending with a guy he used to consider a friend but basically turned on him when Damon came out, he has some trust issues. He doesn't want to be an experiment to Maddox. But soon, even Damon can't deny that Maddox is different and being with him may be worth the risk. Such a fun story! I loved those two. They were such a great pairing and I loved their banter. Looking forward to the next book in the series after meeting some of these new characters!

Can't Say Goodbye by Eden Finley

BRADY

Our quick hellos are followed by drawn out goodbyes.

What started out as one fun night turned into a regular thing none of us ever planned for.

I can’t walk away from Kit and Prescott. Kit is the stern nurturer I need. He’s the caretaker, the solid presence. Prescott enables my wild ways. He’s someone I can have fun with. They couldn’t be more perfect for me.

But come graduation, I have to move across the country, and geography isn’t our only obstacle. Being in a relationship with two men isn’t good for my public image, my brother’s NFL career, or the media frenzy that surrounds my famously queer family.

We have a plan to meet up once a year, but with every reunion, every brief visit, we fall deeper.

There has to be a breaking point, something that will end it for us, or soon it will be impossible to say goodbye at all.

*********

My Review: 5/5 Stars

To start off! If you have read Franklin U's Football Royalty (or even a few others in that series) then you will recognize Brady. And you'll recognize his two Navy SEALs, if you you definitely read Football Royalty. Because it is Brady's turn for a story! When Brady first hooked up with Kit and Prescott, he never imagined it would have gone on for more than one night. Or that it would even last months after that. And he wasn't alone, Prescott and Kit were both surprised by Brady coming into their lives. Prescott and Kit aren't a couple, though Kit certainly wishes they were. It's against the rules but to get around that they always hook up with another person. Which is how they meet Brady. But when Brady comes into their lives, they realize that there was something missing all along. And that was Brady. For Brady, he knows something is missing in any relationship he starts and it wasn't until he met Prescott and Kit that he realized what that meant. A lot of learning and discovery between the three of them. But things are complicated. Prescott and Kit are always away for weeks or months at a time. Brady is about to graduate college and the move to New York. And then later Kit decides to take a position in Virginia. But none of them are willing to let go just yet. An agreement to meet on leave will lead to so much more as time slowly goes by for them all. I loved their story! So many ups and downs, but I loved reading how these three navigate a complicated relationship yet one none of them are truly ready to let go of. Instead they'll fight for what they want through all the challenges that come their way. A great book by Eden Finley!

Franklin U Book 8: Football Royalty by Eden Finley

Franklin U Book 8

If you never fooled around with someone of the same gender, did you even go to high school?

PEYTON

My whole life I’ve had the pressure of being Marcus Talon and Shane Miller’s football prodigy. I’ve been destined to follow in my NFL-playing fathers’ footsteps since the day I was born. I usually thrive under pressure, but as senior year looms, it all gets too much, and I need an outlet. The last place I thought I’d find my release is at Levi Vanderbilt’s graduation party. In his bed. With him.

It’s a one-time thing. An experimentation. And while it was fun, we agree that being with guys isn’t for either of us. I’m happy to accept that until he turns up in California.

I haven’t had to think about him for four years, but now I can’t get him out of my head.

LEVI

Coming to Franklin University for grad school to follow a boy I hooked up with once is the stupidest thing I could have done.

We said that high school didn’t mean anything, but the truth is, that night made me realize who I truly am, and since then, I’ve been trying to find that sense of freedom again.

I’m hoping it can be with him, but everything I’ve heard around campus points to Peyton not having the same life-changing revelation I did.

And if that’s the case, did I just move across the country for a straight guy?

Kill me now.

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Last book of this series and definitely another favorite of mine! We finally get Peyton's story. He has been mentioned throughout and we've seen his brother, Brady, appear as well (I also learned that he has his own book that happened to come out today! So yay for nice timing!). Peyton is known as the football star at Franklin U. His dads were both pro football players and now he is following in their footsteps. Peyton's done well to manage his school work and football by making sure his head is in the game. Relationships don't exist besides a hook up once in a while. But then he sees Levi and is he is brought back to four years ago. The two of them hooked up and it was both their first time with a guy and it brought many feelings. But as two awkward teenagers can be, they brush it off as nothing. But not for Levi. To Levi that was his realization that he is gay and for Peyton, he never liked a guy after that so he never bothered to claim he was bi. But Levi is now at is school and all those unresolved feelings come right on back. Levi came to Franklin U in part because of Peyton. He never forgot their last meeting and Levi is done with his father and the expectations. So he lied and transferred to Franklin U claiming to go to law school when really he is there for the art program. Peyton and Levi finally have it out and it doesn't take long for them to hook up again. But the timing isn't great. Not for Peyton who is at the end of his football season and is looking to get drafted to the NFL. He has to focus. But how can he when all he wants to do is be with Levi? Loved, loved their story! Such a great one to end it on. Levi and Peyton are such a great pair and their chemistry is fantastic. Plus, you gotta love all the side characters that is Peyton's family (many of whom I learned, have their own books, so going to have to track those down). This was a great end to this series and I'm sad it's over!

Franklin U Book 7: Making Waves by Christina Lee

Franklin U Book 7

Alex Larsen

Remy Duval was my high school crush and secret first kiss, but he’s also so much more. A painter, a tattoo artist, my best friend Bailey’s older brother…and Bailey’s sworn enemy. It was easier to keep my distance the past two years, but now that Bailey and I are attending Franklin University with him, I’m only drawn to Remy more. I should be loyal to my best friend, focus on classes and swim team, but the more I see Remy around campus, the harder it becomes to stay away.

Remy Duval

My brother hates me, but that’s no surprise. I’ll take the fall for ruining our family if it means doing the right thing. But as soon as my brother and his best friend show up on campus, I know I’m in trouble. Alex is all grown up, and I can’t help wanting him, especially when he’s in those tiny swim briefs that emphasize everything.

One kiss leads to more, and before we know it, we’re tumbling into secret, no-strings-attached hookups. But who knew Alex would understand me in ways few others have? And I think, just maybe, I understand him too.

I keep telling myself it’s temporary. Alex doesn’t want to disappoint his best friend, and after what my parents went through, I’m not looking to settle down. Making waves is nothing new, but the further I fall, the more I drag Alex in the deep end with me.

My Review: 4/5 Stars

Alex has had a crush on his best friend, Bailey's, older brother, Remy for a long time. And two years ago, they shared their first kiss right before everything changed for Bailey and Remy's family. Now, Alex and Bailey are attending Franklin U and Remy is back in his life. And those feelings he thought he buried have resurfaced. Turns out, he never really stopped crushing on Remy and he learns quickly that Remy feels the same. But there is a slight problem: Bailey. Bailey is angry for Remy revealing something that led to their parents' divorce and instead of being angry at their dad, he's chosen to blame Remy. Alex is on both of their sides, but knows that Remy did nothing wrong and struggles to get Bailey to see that. So when Alex and Remy start hooking up, he's worried about Bailey's reaction. Remy wouldn't care about telling Bailey, but knows that for Alex it is more complicated. And besides, this thing between him and Alex won't be forever, right? It's not like he believes in relationships... or does he? Well, I'm sure you can all imagine how this story will go! Chaos will eventually find them and everyone will have to face their demons at some point. I really liked this one! Remy and Alex were adorable and it was sweet that both thought they could keep their feelings in check. Both of them have been through a lot and they finally found a way to push for what they wanted for once. Another great one in the series and I'm off to read the final one!

There I was, moving into the dorms at Franklin U, and not into the shared party house I’d lived in my freshman year. Last year had been all about football and parties, not schoolwork. Which was why my grades tanked, and why I was one failed class away from being kicked off the team.
Why I needed to live on campus, and find myself a tutor.
Funny that my new roommate just happened to be a tutor. Funny that he was oblivious to how hot he is. For a smart guy, he was pretty clueless. Maybe I could tutor him in how to be more outgoing in exchange for help with calculus? I could teach him how to talk to people, how to make new friends. Hell, maybe I could even help him punch his V card.
Actually, now that I thought about it... that was a really good idea.

Vincent Brandt
And there I was, happy to be back at college, happy to be where I was most comfortable. Happy to be starting another school year, happy to start tutoring again so I could earn some money.
And yes, there I was, equal parts excited and dreading to see who my new roommate would be... Until Cobey Green’s smiling face appeared at the door. A huge football player, loved by everyone, gorgeous, rich, and out of the closet.
Everything I was not.
It didn’t help that he was genuinely a really nice guy. It didn’t help that I could make him laugh, and we could talk so easily, and it certainly didn’t help that we started having private tutorials which ended up way more private than I’d ever dared imagine.
I’d ranked top of my class in every subject since the first grade yet there I was falling stupidly in love with him.

This was going to be a hell of a year. And one very steep learning curve for both of us.

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Okay, this one may be my favorite of the series so far! Vincent and Cobey are adorable. So Cobey is starting off the semester in a bit of a bad mood. His parents are forcing him to live in the dorms and not a house with his football teammates in the hopes that he will study more and get his grades back in shape so he won't be kicked off the football team. And as one of the best players there looking to play in the NFL, he can't screw up. What he doesn't expect is to have a roommate who is probably the sweetest, hottest, and smartest guy he has ever met. And the more he spends time with him, the more he likes him. Vincent isn't confident. He doesn't really have friends and spends a lot of his time studying and hiding away. He's not good around people, but meeting Cobey, well, that's different. Cobey is able to coax Vincent out of his shell and Vincent is super comfortable with him. Maybe it's who Cobey is or maybe it is because of this thing between them. In the beginning they make a deal. Cobey will help Vincent learn to be more comfortable in social settings and Vincent will help Cobey study calculus. But it doesn't take long before the two of them realize they have more than a tutor and student relationship. These two were the cutest thing ever. Opposites in so many ways, but they just fit. They also brought out the best in one another. Their love story was just adorable and I couldn't put it down!

Franklin U Book 5: The Glow Up by A.M. Johnson

The Glow Up (Franklin U, #5)
Franklin U Book 5

Chris Delaney

I've promised myself that this was going to be the year to finally buckle down. I'm a junior, and I’ve settled on a major. I've got focus and determination. The one thing I haven't figured out yet? How to deal with the massive crush I've been harboring on the guy in study carrel six.

I don’t know his name and some of my friends think it’s time for me to move on, but he has this whole sexy, broody, dark eyes and messy hair thing going for him. And yeah, he seems like he could be my polar opposite. The kind of unapproachable, serious type who doesn’t smile much, but I’d like to think he’s all rays of sunshine underneath his stormy expressions and disheveled demeanor. All that intense energy… I dig it.

I want to know him.

The rub?

I’ll have to find the courage to actually introduce myself.

Aiden Russo

The college experience is supposed to be parties, drinking, and fun with a few classes mixed in. It sounds pretty amazing, right? For me, it turned out to be endless lectures, avalanches of homework, and copious amounts of caffeine. The study carrel might as well be my dorm room. And that guitar under my bed? It's got two years of dust growing on it. But this is the life I have to lead if I’m ever going to help my dad.

Pre-med isn’t for the weak.

The problem? Loneliness holds me hostage.

If only I could find someone willing to break through my ever-present cloud bank, and remind me what it’s like to have fun again.

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Chris has had a crush on the same guy for two years. He doesn't even know science guy's name, just a few things about him. Like he always studies in the same spot in the library, has taken a course that brought him to the greenhouse where Chris works and where Chris first saw him two years earlier, and finally... that he has no idea that Chris exists. Chris has thought of countless ways to try and talk to him but nerves and other things never gave him enough courage. Lucky for Chris that is all about to change. Aiden has been watching college go by without so much as sticking his head out of his books long enough to see the world around him. He's exhausted all the time and constantly studies for a major he thought he wanted but maybe he was fooling himself. When a friend drags him to the massage center on campus he doesn't expect it to the most embarrassing and yet life changing experience of his life. He may have run out of there but that's where he meets Chris. Chris, who wakes Aiden up for the first time in a long time, who makes Aiden want to actually do fun things and experience life outside of school work. These two were absolutely adorable. Chris finally gets to talk to his crush and Aiden is everything he hoped he would be like and more. They just connect and have so many shared interests. They also just bring out the best in one another. You'll be rooting for them the entire time as you watch them fall in love. Loved their story! One of my favorites of the series so far!

Franklin U Book 4: Bet You by Neve Wilder

Bet You (Franklin U, #4)
Franklin U Book 4

Spencer
Whose brilliant idea was it to build university housing next to one of Franklin U’s most notorious party frats?

I’m a real student—the kind who actually came to college to learn, not some dumb frat bro who sees Franklin U as a four-year challenge to consume the most booze and throw out the best pick-up line.
Their all-hours lifestyle is driving me crazy. Not to mention, the jerks keep taking my assigned parking spot.

But the worst offender might be Cory Ingram. Sure, he has a smile that could melt a polar ice cap, but no way will I ever be one of his minions. I’m pretty sure I made that clear when I blew my top at him. So I have no idea why he’s suddenly everywhere around me, turning on the charm like I might actually fall for it.

Nope. Not gonna happen.

Cory
From the first day I set foot on Franklin U’s campus, everything has been golden. I have a ton of friends, endless parties to be the life of, and whoever I want in my bed on any given night. Sure, I’m a shameless party boy, but I’m not a jerk. Ask anyone. Seriously.

Even the crotchety old groundskeeper waves and smiles at me when I pass.

Then there’s Spencer Crow. I’ve never seen a guy’s face get so red over a parking spot. Even when I try to make it right, he proceeds to give me the tongue-lashing of a lifetime—which is about the moment I notice that, in addition to being irrationally irate, he’s also crazy hot.

My friends think I’ve finally met the one person I can’t seduce…

Bet you I can.

My Review: 4/5 Stars

Spencer is regretting setting up a university housing right next to Franklin U's notorious frat house. It's loud all the time and someone is always parking their car in his parking spot. And after a long day of classes and rushing to get to work, he has had enough. And Cory, who is currently parked in Spencer's spot, is about to get an earful. While Spencer is giving Cory an earful, Cory can't help but be distracted by Spencer as a whole.  He tries to be charming and flirty and make it up to Spencer but Spencer turns him down cold. Not something Cory is used to. And Cory is up for the challenge. Which leads to the bet. Yep. Nothing ever comes out well when there is a bet involved. But the bet is the last thing on Cory's mind when it comes to getting to know Spencer. He loves their banter and pushing Spencer's buttons. And soon he finds himself wanting more. And when it comes to relationships, Cory usually steer clears. As for Spencer, he is finding it hard to stay away from Cory. He tells himself not to fall for his charm and gorgeous face, but it's hard to do when Cory appears everywhere. And when they have actually meaningful conversations? Looks like Spencer isn't the only one falling. But nothing is ever that easy! These two were a lot of fun. Spencer determined not to be swayed and Cory doing whatever he can to be near Spencer because he genuinely likes him. Lot of fun and sweet moments in this story!
