My Review: 5/5 Stars
We have finally made it to Dom’s book! Not gonna lie. Been curious about our grumpy Fisher Cats player. And his mysterious Sundays. But all is finally revealed! Dom is a very private person. He has never wanted his private life to be in the public eye. And for years he managed that very well. But everything changes when a fire breaks out in the apartment he is in with Shea and speculation is everywhere on what he was doing there and why. Truth is, Dom has been seeing Shea for four almost five years. Shea is an escort. But if anyone asks, he is Dom’s stylist. However, Shea has his own secrets from Dom about it. Like the fact that he hasn’t exactly had other clients for a long time and that he broke rule number one and fell in love with Dom. But he won’t say anything and risk chasing Dom away. He cares about him too much and selfishly hopes that one day maybe Dom will care for him too or be the one to push him away. But the way Dom acted that night of the fire and the fact that they have to spend time out in the day to show they are just friends, makes Shea wonder if Dom could feel more for him. Dom has a lot of reasons for never wanting to come out and for acting the way he does. His past makes it hard for him to open up. Yet, ever since this gossip started, he begins to slowly open himself not only more with Shea but with his team. And he’s realizing a lot about himself as he does it. There is also just a lot more going on in their story. Like Dom figuring out how his injuries and coming to terms with his final season. And the major leak in the organization about who is giving away all their private secrets. Everything is wrapped up in this story and it was great! Great way to end the series! And with that I am caught up! Though I’m off to do a reread of the next book in the connecting series. Everything will finally make a lot more sense!
