Relationship Goals Book 1: The Husband Game by Brigham Vaughn

Relationship Goals Book 1

Dustin Fowler Wed in Secret Vegas Ceremony – Partner’s Identity Remains a Mystery

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Or does it?

Toronto Fisher Cats ice hockey team captain Dustin Fowler attended the NHL awards and came home with more than the Ted Lindsay Award.

A cryptic social media post from the hockey center himself revealed that he was wed in a secret ceremony in Las Vegas this past weekend.

His caption stating, “Sorry, ladies, Toronto’s most eligible bachelor just went off the market. I married my kitten tonight and I’ve never been happier,” sent tongues wagging across the league.

But who is “Kitten”?

Without verification from either the team’s head office or the new groom, rumors swirl about exactly who Fowler’s partner is.

Speculation ranges from pop singers, to influencers, to actresses and models, but in a surprising twist, a credible source from within the organization suggests that “Kitten” is none other than retired men’s figure skating champion Charlie Monaghan.

Neither athlete has been linked to dating anyone in recent history.

Fan reactions vary from shocked disbelief to wholehearted support but without official confirmation, gossip continues to fly.

We here at JockGossip would like to offer our warmest congratulations to the newlyweds.

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Continuing in this hockey world by Brigham Vaughn, it’s Dustin and Charlie’s turn! And I was so excited for these two after meeting them briefly in the previous series. You could just tell based on their banter that we were in for a treat. With Dustin calling Charlie, kitten, and Charlie giving all the sass back. They definitely lived up to their story. After a drunken night where the two finally give in to the chemistry they have, they wake up and find themselves married in Vegas. Not exactly what they planned. At all. Though Dustin has to admit, he doesn’t mind the ring on Charlie’s finger. He’s been smitten for a while and though he wished he could have started with a date, well, at least now he has Charlie’s attention. But getting their marriage annulled is the last thing either can do. Reputations are on the line and the change in the code of conduct in the NHL is relying on Dustin’s image. He can’t cause any waves. The good news is that no one including the media and even Dustin’s teammates believes they didn’t get married for any reason but the fact that they love one another. But they’ll have to continue the charade for at least a year before deciding to split up for good. While Charlie is at first resistant, he decides to go along with it. He is ready for a bit of a fresh start. Charlie is a recovering anorexic and though he had a relapse the winter before, he is doing better. Nothing is perfect, but he works hard. Dustin as team captain has to be there for his team and lead them to another great season. But that is a whole other level of pressure. But when these two are together, everything around them isn’t so bad. I loved how these two slowly let themselves fall in love and find their way to one another. Pretending only lasts so long for them and the more they get to know one another, the harder they fall. Adored these two and their story! And I can’t for the next book in this series!
