Hockey Rules Book 3: Never Fake Marry the Coach’s Son by Portia Blake

Hockey Rules Book 3

Oskar

I’ve spent three years keeping my crush on Dmitri Volkov strictly professional. I can’t afford to think about his wicked smile or the way his dark hair falls over his eyes. He’s my father’s most troublesome player...and definitely straight.
But when Dmitri bursts into my apartment needing a green card marriage, I suddenly find myself engaged to the team’s notorious bad boy—the same player who’s been starring in my fantasies since the day he arrived from Russia.
My father, the team’s head coach, will explode when he finds out. But saying no to Dmitri isn’t a thing I can do. Now I just need to pretend to the world that we’re madly in love and pretend to Dmitri that I’m totally not.

My Review: 3/5 Stars

Dmitri is days away from being kicked out of the country and sent back to Russia after his agent screws him and his NHL career over. Desperate to stay and get a green card, he realizes there is only one thing he can do. Get married. And who better than his best friend, Oskar? For Oskar, he has been secretly in love with Dmitri for a long time but knows that Dmitri is straight. But he can’t not help his friend. He finds himself swept away to Vegas for a quick wedding. But their return is anything but great. No one believes their marriage. And the two of them are too bad of liars to really pull it off. But this situation has done something else for them, especially for Dmitri. He really begins to realize that what he feels for Oskar was always more than friends, he was just never able to see it before. And now it could be too late! Short and sweet, Dmitri and Oskar were a pretty fun couple. And I liked that Oskar finally got the guy of his dreams in the most unexpected way.
