My Review: 4/5 Stars
It’s Jeremy and Cecily’s turn and I’ve been looking forward to these two! For the last few books, it was clear there was something going on between these two, we just weren’t sure exactly what just yet. Cecily’s bad past still gets to her to this day. It’s something she is trying to overcome and yet no matter how hard she tries she can’t seem to shake. It’s crippling her in more ways than one. But then she crosses paths with Jeremy one too many times and now she can’t escape him no matter how hard she tries. Though she is realizing that maybe she isn’t trying that hard. Not when what they start is allowing her to explore a part of herself she was too scared to try. And for Jeremy, he never expects the pull Cecily has on him. Especially when they share some similar interests. Trusting is hard for him. And he wants to give it to Cecily even against his instincts and even more so when he knows she is holding back from him. But these two can only fight the connection for so long before something snaps. Another dark romance with these two. Yet once again different from what we’ve seen. And I really enjoy the twists and turns this story holds as well as getting to know these characters more and more. Definitely looking forward to the next book!
