My Review: 5/5 Stars
OH. MY. FREAKING. GOD. I thought I faced pretty insane cliffhangers from JLA before, but NOTHING compared to what I just read. This whole dang book was INSANE. I promise zero spoilers because trust me, you do not want them in this book. It’s gonna hurt to wait so long for the final book of this series, but man will I need some wonderful closure after all that. So backing up. If you don’t know this already, read everything before this book or face understanding nothing going on LOL. So the story picks up basically where the last book takes off in that Casteel and Kieran are waiting for Poppy to wake up from her Ascension. And as you can see from the last book, things may have been interrupted just a bit. And guess what? That was a major problem. Yeah, turns out things are happening while Poppy sleeps and it isn’t all that good. So as Casteel and Kieran fight and pray for Poppy to wake and remember herself among other things, Poppy has her own inner battle to deal with. The story covers A LOT. We get a lot of questions answered but we end up with so many more. Not that anyone will be surprised about that. This world just got a lot bigger. And a lot of changes occur in this book as they deal with their problem that has been slowly building in this entire series: Kolis. They are in for the fight of their lives to understand what he is and how to deal with him. And the answer isn’t that easy. I really can’t say much more because again spoilers, but nothing is as it seems. We get some good twists and turns as well as some heartbreaking moments. I can’t wait for this final book just because I am gonna need some MAJOR happy moments to make up for all the pain this story caused me. But overall, you can’t help but love the story. These characters have come so far. The world building as usual is insane and incredible to see. We get some great cameos. And yeah prepare for a major book hangover after this. Really can’t wait for the next book! It can’t come soon enough!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
