My Review: 5/5 Stars
Jamie Walsh hasn’t had an easy year. Last season, he left his last NHL team after divorcing his wife when he found out she cheated on him with his best friend and linemate. Now, he’s with the Otters and he is doing his best to manage his hockey career and raise his daughter, Ava. But then the Otters management wants the team to taking some figure skating lessons. A social media stunt and it hones in some skills for the teams. But the teacher? Taylor Hollis. The son of his father’s hockey rival and the only man Jamie has ever been attracted to. Things are about to get complicated. The family rivalry goes back to their dads playing hockey against one another and an accident on the ice led to Taylor’s dad ending his career. He’s lucky that he wasn’t paralyzed or died after a bad hit, but he has always blamed Jamie’s dad. Despite the fact that it was an accident and the organization agreed. But Taylor and Jamie never wanted to bring the fighting to their level. And now they’ll have to see one another a lot more often. But there is no denying the chemistry and attraction between the two of them. And when they finally let things happen between them, there is no turning back. I loved that these two thought they could keep anything between them casual. But the more you get to know them, the more you realize how perfect these two actually are for one another. They had a lot of obstacles and a lot of trauma, but together they can heal and be the best versions of themselves while also falling in love. Been really enjoying this series so far and I’m so glad I still have a few more books to go along with another series in this world!
