All for the Game Book 5: The Golden Raven by Nora Sakavic

All for the Game Book 5

I do not care what they think of me. I can’t. It only matters that I play.

Jeremy Knox is no stranger to damage control, but his last season on an Exy court is off to a disastrous start. The relentless crusade against his newest teammate threatens the haven he and his friends have worked so hard to build. He promised Jean a fun senior year, but tragedy and ugly truths make every step forward an uphill fight.

Jean Moreau promised the USC Trojans a championship trophy, and he intends to deliver. Granted, it would be significantly easier if they’d slide off their high horses and throw a few elbows on the court. Their steadfast refusal to do things his way is nearly as aggravating as their unwanted affection, but maybe they’re not the ones that need to change.

With so many ready to drag him down, how can he learn to fly?

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Jean’s story continues! And I have to say, gotta love how this author takes us by surprise when she releases Jean’s book. Caught off guard by the release date, I can’t say I’m disappointed! We’ll have another wait and a surprise date for the next one, but this series is a favorite of mine for a reason! So we start the story shortly where the last one left off. And as you will know Jean is not having a good time. Attacked yet again by a Raven, it seems like it is never ending for poor Jean. But he survives. He’ll continue this summer and start the fall semester with the Trojans. But it won’t be easy. He is still figuring out how to survive outside of the Nest, there are still crazy Ravens, and let’s throw in the fact that we get some Jeremy point of view. And Jeremy’s family and expectations are nothing to envy either. These two have a lot of terrible surrounding them but in very different ways. But as Jean slowly is learning is that the Trojans take care of their own. They’ll fight for him if he lets them in. I really loved seeing Jean grow a bit in this one. Habits are hard to stop, but he is trying. He is growing. And I really can’t wait to see him continue this journey. A lot goes down in this book and for those who are like me and want to see our Foxes, specially some that involve Neil and Andrew, we are in luck! Lot of key moments from the Foxes goes down. And I gotta say, I would kill to have some of their points of view for those moments. They may have wrapped up a crazy year but there was still a lot left to happen with them. Though it’s definitely interesting to see what happens to them through the eyes of Jean and Jeremy. Overall, another great addition to this series. Definitely looking forward to the next and what I believe will be the last of Jeremy and Jean’s story! I’m hoping these guys get a happy ending that will be well deserved after everything!
