My Review: 5/5 Stars

Zane and Ryan have been best friends since college. Nothing can break these two once they formed their friendship. A friendship that only became stronger over time. Now, they have been playing on the Evanston River Otters NHL team for a while and their chemistry on the ice is incredible. But things are about to change with them. And it starts when another NHL comes out as bisexual. Neither have really looked at one another beyond friends, but well, now, they are looking. And all the times their teammates teased them about being a couple is starting to sound different. Because for the first time, they are wondering if they could be that. And when they try one night to see what it would be like to cross the line and be physical, neither expect it to be everything. To feel right and perfect and like something they should have been doing all along. Falling in love with their best friend is easier than breathing but the pressure outside of their bubble? Zane can’t help but worry about it. Especially when he is the team captain. He is a thinker. And he can’t help but wonder if they come out as a couple that things could change. And what about their friendship? Could it survive if something goes wrong? Ryan jumps into things with his whole heart but the moment he realizes that he feels more for Zane than just friends, he knows he is in. But he’ll follow Zane’s lead just as he always has done. Because what they have is worth fighting for and he’ll be patient while he waits for Zane to realize it too. I adored these two! I can’t believe it’s taken me a while to circle back to this author’s hockey series. I’ve read one of her recent releases and realized I had two other series I could catch up on! I loved Zane and Ryan and I can’t wait to see other characters get their stories!
