Weekday Weirdos Book 2: Sober Dope & Sundays by Nordika Night

Weekday Weirdos Book 2

WHEN ZERO WILLPOWER MEETS AN IRON WILL...
Who goes to rehab eight times? Gage does. As a recovering addict fresh out of rehab, moving back in with his mom and starting over in his hometown isn't part of his life goals, but Gage needs all the support he can get. Lost and a little unsure of himself, Gage meets his new sponsor. A sponsor whose son is the perfect sober companion. But companionship isn't all these two find...

Content with who he is, Alexei isn't looking for anyone to save him. No stranger to the ups and downs of addiction, Alexei is comfortable with his life. Confident and resilient, he's learned to cope with trauma in his own healthy way, but that doesn't make him boring. Far from it. He may not need an army like Gage does, but he knows how to keep things interesting. Especially when he believes in true love and his soulmate just walked into town in the body of a sexy, shady smoker. The audacity of fate, right?!

What happens when zero willpower meets an iron will?

Gage and Alexei know they shouldn't fall for each other, but when destiny intervenes, well, let's just say... you can't fight soulmateship.

Sober Dope & Sundays is part of the Weekday Weirdos series and does not need to be read in order. It is a small town, opposites attract, meant-to-be MM romance.

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Gage has gone to rehab eight times. But he is determined to make this one stick. Because not only did he force himself to stay there for a year, he is also making some changes once he is out. Like moving back home with his mom and brothers and breaking up with a boyfriend who is more interested in being some sort of hero. He needs a clean break. He also has a new sponsor and some great therapists lined up. He knows it’s gonna be tough but this time he is hopeful and determined. What he doesn’t expect is Alexei. The son of his sponsor who is complicated and weird and just so many things that makes Gage feel things he never thought he could actually feel before. And these new feelings make him only want to work harder and do what he can to make this eventual relationship right. Alexei knows what it is like to have an addict in your life. Even with his dad eight years sober, he can’t help but be worried for him as his sponsors Gage. But after meeting Gage, things shift for Alexei. He knows deep in his soul that they are meant to be. And he’ll prove to Gage that something can happen between them when they are ready. These two were so fun. So weird, as they like to put it, but also so perfect for one another. They could read each other so well. I definitely agreed with Alexei that these guys are soulmates. I loved how they respected one another and how their relationship slowly progressed. I also love Gage’s journey of recovery. It isn’t easy but he tries so hard and has a great support system through the good and bad. Such a great story!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
