No Holds Barred Book 2: Choke Hold by Eve Holmes

No Holds Barred Book 2

“But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.”
-Rocky Balboa

Ty Roscoe and Luca Mitchell have moved beyond their rivalry in MMA, becoming more than just teammates. Now working together both in and out of the cage, they’re focused on one common making it to the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

But their journey is about more than just achieving success in the octagon. As pressures and obstacles threaten to derail their path to the top, they also grapple with how to love and support each other through it all. As Ty returns to training after injury, and Luca continues to fight for his choices in life, they are no longer exerting dominance and control over one another. Instead, they learn to lean on each other’s strengths and break free from the choke hold these pressures have on them.

They’re stronger together than they ever were apart.
And no matter how tight the hold, they refuse to submit. Because the ultimate strength comes from facing life’s challenges side by side.

But is it enough to make their dreams come true?

Choke Hold is book 2 in the No Holds Barred duet and ends with an HEA.
Books in this duet must be read in order, as book 2 is a continuation of book 1 with the same main characters.

My Review: 5/5 Stars
Part 2 of Luca and Ty’s story and it was just as great as the first book! Ty is dealing with the aftermath of an injury that could take away his career. While Luca is continuing to fight his parents on what he wants from his life. Ty isn’t used to sharing his feelings and Luca is trying not to put more on Ty since he has his own issues to deal with. But with a little push here and there, these two realize what it is they both need in order to move forward and make their relationship farther. Bring it to the mats. Yeah, when in doubt, punch it out. I adored these two even more after this book. Their relationship continues to get stronger as they learn what it means to love one another and strengthen their relationship. And they just balance one another out so much. Again, I loved the way the bring out the best in one another. Luca teaches Ty to let go more and it’s okay to have fun and let others in. And Ty encourages Luca to deal with his issue with his parents head on and stand up for himself. Loved getting to know these two more and their journey as a couple and as MMA fighters as they continue to fight for their dream!
