My Review: 5/5 Stars

A wonderful story to kick off this series! As someone who has read DJ Jamison’s books and specifically the ones that were located in Granville, I was looking forward to this story about Logan. We got a bit of him in one of DJ’s books, and I was curious to learn more! Logan finds himself doing a favor for a friend of his. Pretending to be her boyfriend to get her family to not as questions about her ex (who she still has feelings for and wishes she didn’t let get away) and not set her up with anyone in town while they are visiting for the holidays. Should be simple right? Despite the fact that Logan is gay and may not be the best actor. But things get complicated very quickly when Logan meets his friend’s brother, Griff. There is an instant connection between them and it takes everything in Logan not to blurt out the truth and hurt his friend. Griff is known around town as the Grinch. Despite the fact that he is in charge of festival that Christmas Falls hosts every year. He also doesn’t really realize how lonely and how Grinch-like he has been until he meets Logan. Logan who lights up something inside of him and makes him want to know more. Until he learns and has to keep reminding himself that Logan is his sister’s boyfriend. Lucky for these two that ruse can only last so long and once they let themselves be together sparks are flying more than ever! But Logan has a hurtful past and letting him hope for something as good as this might be too much. Will he let Griff show him what it’s like to be loved and fought for? I adored these two! And this town was so fun! This was a great way to start the series and I am itching to read the rest of the books!
