My Review: 5/5 Stars
What an emotional rollercoaster! The Swift Brothers have been hurting for a long time but one by one they’ll get their happy ending. And this series starts with Morgan. Morgan and his best friend, Dusty, have been best friends since they were kids. Inseparable and clearly in love with one another but never having the courage to say it. Morgan’s family has been through a lot. His mother died when he was young and his baby sister as well. A dad who doesn’t seem to love his children, an older brother who acts too much like their father and not like their brother, and a younger brother who hasn’t been himself since his twin sister died so young. But then 10 years ago things took another heartbreaking turn between Morgan and Dusty causing Morgan to flee from their home with no chance to fix what was broken. Now, Morgan finds himself returning home when his older brother tells him their father had a stroke and needs help for the summer. It’s time to face his family and his best friend. A lot has changed in that time, but under the hurt, Morgan knows his feelings for Dusty are still there. And the same for him. They have a lot to clear up and make up for but one thing they can both agree on: they won’t let the other go. Not again. Dusty knows he messed up in the past and Morgan did too, and though he tries to be strong, he knows what he has known his whole life, Morgan is his. I love how they build back what they lost and create something even more special between one another. And as for Morgan and his brothers, it’s a rough ride, but by the end, there is definitely some hope for them. I can’t wait for book two and what is in store for the youngest Swift brother!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
