My Review on Hannah McBride's story Miles & Sadie

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Hannah McBride has fast become one of those authors for me where I just need to see her name and know immediately I want to read and buy the book. Doesn't matter what it is about. I see Hannah's name and I say mine. It makes no difference that this story is a short novella in an anthology. I adored Miles and Sadie's story. I always admire writers who can write short stories and they can say so much in a certain amount of words. Miles and Sadie's story was short and sweet and sexy and everything you can want in an anthology that follows romance and weddings. In this story Miles and Sadie are brought together when Sadie's cousin is getting married and Miles is one of the groomsmen. Miles and Sadie have known one another since they were kids but never quite got to the point to spark a romantic relationship between one another. Plenty of banter back and forth but neither really quite there to realize that perhaps something great could happen between them if they only gave it a chance. They finally get their chance many years later. Though for Sadie the timing isn't great. Her life took a completely different direction than she expected after high school. Instead of following her scholarship she stayed behind to take care of her sick grandma. And now she has to decide what comes next. While Miles went off and established a great career as a football player. And when they see one another again, they can't help but feel the pull between them. It's strong enough to have Sadie, who always felt like a bit of a loner, confides in Miles. But with only a few days until the wedding comes and then everyone heads home, can they really make a go at a future? Like I said, I adored this story. Miles and Sadie are such great characters and more than perfect for one another. If you love Hannah's work, then you definitely want to pick up this book!

I received an ARC of Hannah McBride's story in exchange for an honest review.
