I hoped that moving back would give me a chance to shed my public persona and just be Sebastian again, but that doesn’t seem to be happening any time soon.
The only thing in my life that makes sense is my old rivalry with Jesse, the guy I’ve hated since we were eight. Arguing with him is as exhilarating as it is familiar, and no one is more surprised than me when a fight leads to our first kiss, then more.
Jesse may be the most annoying person I’ve ever known, but the tension between us is too strong to ignore. I hate that I want him but love that he can’t stay away from me either.
Jesse and Sebastians’s book is an enemies-to-lovers romance featuring a mechanic with a secret, and a retired musician looking for his place in the world. You can expect hurt/comfort, forced proximity, ‘there’s only one bed’, found family, lots of heat, tons of dirty talk, primal play, hate s*x, and fighting as these two childhood rivals figure out that sometimes what you need has been in front of you all along. It is the first book in the exciting new Legacy Mechanics series but can be read as a standalone.

My Review: 5/5 Stars
I’ve been looking forward to this story! Jesse and Sebastian have hated one another since they were kids. But there is a very fine line between love and hate. And the passion and chemistry between them ignites when they cross over to the love side of their relationship. Acknowledging the attraction between them leaves them with hot hook ups. Ones they think are one and done…until the next time. The truth of the matter is the two of them haven’t looked past the masks they both have been wearing for a long time. But spending time together, they actually begin to see the other for who they are. I loved their enemies-to-lovers vibe. Neither are ready when this book starts out to acknowledge the real feelings that driving the two of them together, but it sure is a wild ride while the two of them figure it out. Jesse loves his job as a mechanic. For a while he was an escort trying to pull himself out of debt but now he found a job he loves and is working hard to find his place. Sebastian has returned home after his band split up. Tired from the road and the way his music career had drained him, he needed to regroup and figure out what was next. Both of them needed something in their lives. And I loved how these two figured out it was one another. Another great story by this author! It looks like we have a great cast of new characters to begin this new series. And I cannot wait to see what happens next!
