Miami Piranhas Book 2: Playing the Player by Beth Bolden

Miami Piranhas Book 2

Center Logan Banks didn’t come to Miami looking for a best friend.

He came for football and for a chance at freedom—the freedom to live out of the closet.

But after a water main break, he lands an unexpected roommate, the new Piranhas kicker, Dylan Leonard. Between practices, games, and too many late nights on the couch, a best friend is exactly what he gets.

When Logan’s past rears its ugly head and threatens to destroy the freedom he’s hoped for, Dylan becomes more than just a friend. He becomes a lifeline.

But then their friendship gets incorrectly labeled as something more, and Dylan shocks Logan by suggesting they play along with a fake relationship.

Logan knows it’s off limits to fall in love with Dylan. He’s supposed to be straight, he’s his best friend, his roommate, and his teammate. But the closer they grow, and the more he and Dylan fake falling in love, the more real it feels.

The more real Logan wants it to be.

Making a play for love is the biggest risk he’s ever taken, but he wants it all and he wants it with Dylan.

My Review: 5/5 Stars

A snap decision changes Logan and Dylan forever. When Dylan is traded to Miami, he once again is starting over, though instead of having a place to live right away, there is a maintenance issue in the team’s building. Lucky for him Logan, one of the nicest guys on the team, offers him a room in his home. And weirdly for the both of them, it just feels right. It isn’t long until these roommates become best friends. You won’t find one without the other. Though for Logan he is trying very hard not to develop feelings for his new and straight best friend. But maybe Dylan isn’t as straight as Logan thought. Especially when an old hook up of Logan starts causing trouble. And Dylan volunteers to be Logan’s new boyfriend to offset the negative press. For Dylan, he has been realizing that maybe he isn’t as straight as he thought because when he is around Logan he is finding himself falling hard and wanting to explore a real relationship with Logan. Now the two of them just have to admit it! Really loved these two. They were definitely the definition of best friends to lovers. The two had great chemistry and such a strong friendship that became a solid foundation to what would be a wonderful romantic relationship. Such a fun story and I can’t wait for the next one!
