When the universe sends Charli signs, she listens. She's been following intuition and despite the ups and downs, she wouldn't change it. So when her boyfriend breaks up with her and her job eliminates her position, it is time to move on and find somewhere new to live. Charli packs as much stuff as she can in her car and hits the road. She eventually lands in Vermont, where a Help Wanted sign and a quote on the sign leads her to believe that this is the place she is meant to be. She even finds a place to live...which leads her to the grumpiest man in Vermont, Gabe. Gabe knows he can come off as rude, but he decided a long time ago it's just how he is. His mom ran out on his family when he was a kid and that really changed his way of thinking. He doesn't want marriage or a relationship. He's fine on his own. At least, that is what he thinks until he meets Charli. The moment he sees her he knows he is in trouble. And though they keep their relationship casual, he wonders if she will change her mind and want more from him. What he doesn't expect is for him to maybe want more. I really enjoyed this story! Despite Gabe being a grump, Charli is there to balance him out. Their story was fun and sweet and short! And such a great addition to the series.
