A Lake Howling Novel Book 7 |
One night with her could never be enough
After a disastrous relationship ended in a broken heart for Noah Harris, he vows to stay a lone wolf. Lake Howling, Oregon is his home, where he runs his business and has friends and family, and is convinced that’s all he needs in his life, or at least he thought that was all he needed until he walked into that bar.
The night he met Lani Sullivan was a meeting of two lonely souls seeking comfort in each other – a spectacular single night to remember. But that plan is upended when she turns up in his home town, secretive, withdrawn and trying hard to hide who she really is. And it doesn’t take long for Noah to want to know why.
Dare she take a chance on love to keep her safe?
She’s been running for years and has no plans to stop. Lani once had it all: money, friends and family, but that all changed when someone tried to kill her, and now she’s alone and on the run and planning on keeping it that way… or she was until the night she meets Noah Harris.
Sexy, sweet, and a man that makes her heartache, he’s sinfully dangerous to her survival, and peace of mind. Taking a job in his town was foolish, but getting to know him and his people is doubly so. Soon Lani wants more and begins to dream about a life here with Noah. Can she take a chance or will her secrets destroy them both?

My Review: 5/5 Stars
Every time I read one of a Lake Howling Book or Ryker Falls book, I always think I wish these places were real and I wish these characters were real. If you've read them, I'm sure you think the same. Absolutely adored this book. Noah and Lani's story was just so good. It may have reached to one of my favorites. (It's hard to pick!) But I loved each of these characters and their personal stories. Lani has been on the run for a while. Constantly moving, she never stays in one place for very long. Then she meets Noah and the sparks between them fly. After one night, she is on the move again. Little does she know that the town she wanders to is Lake Howling. Where Noah is actually from. She knows staying in Lake Howling isn't a good idea. Sooner or later she will have to run. Yet, the people who live there are hard to ignore. They are open and for the first time Lani feels...safe. Especially when she is with Noah. But that just gives her more reason to want to leave. Meanwhile, Noah is shocked to see Lani again, but secretly can't help but feel glad, because of the connection he feels with her. But as all his friends like to point out, he hasn't really been living after his last real relationship. There is more to the story than anyone knows. And maybe Lani is the one to help Noah push past it all and move on. As always there is a beautiful love story and epic romance, and a little adventure and danger mixed in. I loved being back in Lake Howling and seeing familiar faces and the changes in their lives as the series goes on. Loved this book! And as always love this series.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
