My Review: 5/5 Stars
Book 11 of the Shifter Universe, though technically if you count the novellas it's more like 21, is still a great series and no matter how many books they just keep getting better and a lot more interesting as they continue! Our main couple here is Angus and Tamsin. Angus was introduced in the previous book Red Wolf, and it was awesome to have him back and introduce us to Tamsin, who is a pretty awesome female character! And a unique one at that! Their worlds collide when the Shifters Bureau force Angus to track her down by kidnapping his cub. And though Angus hates the Bureau, he will do anything for his son. When he meets Tamsin, he knows there is more going on than the Bureau led him to believe. And after meeting her he struggles to hand her over. Though when the time comes, he tells her that as soon as he has his son back, she will escape and he will help.
Their plan goes somewhat as planned, but in the chaos, Angus and his son run with Tamsin. Familiar faces appear like Ben, Zander, Jaycee, Dmitri, and of course Tiger along with some new characters who make their journey a lot more interesting. They keep on the move and learn to hide in plain sight, as they figure out what to do next. Plus there is something Tamsin is hiding, that is the real reason the Bureau is after her. The story was a great read. We got to see what has been going on with the Shifters more and are introduced to Tamsin's unique shifting ability. Plus, watching Angus and Tamsin fall in love and become a family was beautifully written. Especially with their opposite personalities. Though I guess even for Shifters, opposites do attract!
Great story. Super excited for the next one, which is a novella about Tiger. A favorite character of mine, any story with him is always great.
