Accidental Love Book 3: The Revenge Agenda by Saxon James

Accidental Love Book 3

Rush

When I show up to surprise my boyfriend in a barely-there festive outfit, I’m expecting him to be alone.

Not hosting family.

His fiancé’s family.

Down one boyfriend and up a lot of embarrassment, I flee with my tail between my legs. The broken heart will fade. My humiliation, not so much, but my saving grace is the fact that I never have to see either of them ever, ever again.

Until I walk into work and come face to face with my new boss.

Hunter

I never, in a million years, would have guessed the man hiding under his desk at work would be the one person I hoped to never see again.

My ex-fiancé’s side piece.

Apparently I can’t fire the guy because of personal issues, so I try to play nice, which is a whole lot harder to do when I find out my ex is still texting Rush. The same ex I haven’t heard from since I walked out on his begging.

Rush tells me he didn’t know about me. He tells me there were others. He also tells me our ex still wants him and so, we come up with a plan. To show him what it feels like when you want someone who doesn’t want you back.

All we need is a camera. His number. And one shared kiss.

Revenge has never been sweeter.

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Rush has a habit of never being on time to things or is just very, very forgetful. Though this all stems from his ADHD, he does the best he can and finally thinks he found someone who gets him. But everything blows up in his face when he tries to surprise his boyfriend and opens the door to his boyfriend’s fiancé. Who is equally shocked to see Rush at the door. Things only get more awkward when a month later when the same guy becomes Rush’s boss. Rush knows it’s neither of their faults. They didn’t know about the other and clearly they were both wronged by Ian. Doesn’t make it easy though. And all he wants is to tell reassure Hunter. Hunter can’t believe that he dated Ian for 5 years, moved to Seattle, got engaged just to find out what a cheating jerk his now ex is. And seeing his ex’s affair every day? Too much. So much that he really is debating on quitting his new job and taking this defeat. But Rush isn’t like anyone Hunter has ever met. Even the night of the disaster, Hunter could feel this sort of connection to him. And the more time he spends with Rush, the more he grows on him. While he tried to stay mad and blame Rush, he finds he can’t really do that and Rush won’t let Hunter quit or let Ian ruin things even more for either of them. Turns out, these two have a connection. And when they try to think of a way to get some revenge on Ian for what he has done, well that just ignites the spark between them even more. I adored these two! I had no idea how anything could happen between them after how they met, but they just really work. They balance one another out so well. Hunter is the calm that Rush needs when his mind won’t quit. And Rush gives Hunter a new perspective and just makes him happy. Such a fun story! I couldn’t put it town. The Bertha boys are just the best and I cannot wait for the next book!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
