Totally Pucked Book 1: Poetry on Ice by Jesse H. Reign

Totally Pucked Book 1

I can’t tell if we’re fighting…or flirting?

Being traded to the Seattle Vipers has left me with mixed feelings. On the one hand, they’re my team, the team I’ve loved and supported since I was a kid, but on the other hand, he’s here. Him.Ant Decker. Infamous NHL bad boy. Right wing to my left. A man who’s made it his sole purpose in life to be better than me.

Well, the joke’s on him because I’m faster and my stats are better than his.

Not that I’m competing with him. Of course not. I wouldn’t stoop to his level.

He’s the most infuriating person I’ve ever met. A dark, chaotic presence that distracts me.

When we’re not coming to blows on the ice, he tries to provoke me by calling me Princess. And Pretty Boy...and Babygirl.

I hate it. Obviously, I do. It makes me so angry I can hardly see straight.

So why does my body react as if I like it?

My Review: 4/5 Stars
Usually being traded would have felt like a terrible thing, but for Robbie, this trade is great. He is finally playing for the Vipers. The first hockey team he loved and it brings him back home. But what he doesn’t love? Ant Decker. He has no idea what he ever did to Decker to make him hate him, but Decker won’t let him forget it the first chance he gets when they are on the ice. Decker has always tried to say they were rivals, but now they are on the same team. Yet, Robbie finds himself itching for the fight that Decker so clearly wants. They infuriate one another and everyone knows it. But then there is a shift. A slight shift that changes just about everything. Because when they finally accept the tension between them, it is more explosive than any of their fights on the ice. Robbie wants Decker and he now knows Decker wants him too. And he won’t let him go. Decker has always known Robbie equals trouble for him. He knows he is a jerk and plans to keep it that way. Until everything changes between them and suddenly Robbie gets him. Gets him better than anyone and Decker…realizes how much trouble he is in. The chemistry between these two is insane! You are just waiting for it to snap and these two to act. And once it does, it’s worth the wait. I loved watching Robbie break down Decker’s walls bit by bit. Because underneath the jerk act is someone who cares so much and doesn’t want the world to know he feels that pain. Really loved their story and I’m looking forward to book two!
