My Review: 5/5 Stars
Jeremy thought he was happy with his life and his marriage. But over the years, things have changed. Now he is divorced (though his ex still remains one of his closest friends) and he finds himself in the most unlikely of friendships with Darren, his best friend’s husband’s best friend and professional football player. When Darren and Jeremy meet at their best friends’ wedding, the spark between them surprises them both. They find it is so easy to talk one another and soon find themselves crossing paths and even pranking their best friends. And then they just keep in touch. Jeremy knows it may be a bad idea because he can’t help the feelings that are starting to form for Darren who is straight but at the same time…there is just something about Darren he isn’t ready to let go of just yet. Darren has always thought he wasn’t made for relationships. He just never thought he could feel that way toward someone. Hooking up with women was enough though lately he is realizing that he is getting a bit tired. And meeting Jeremy? Well, that sparks something inside him he didn’t realize was possible. And sure, feelings for a man might be new but Darren knows Jeremy is special. The connection they have is one he has never felt with someone before and he is gonna fight to hold on to it as long as he can. Because once he is in, he is all in. I loved these two! They go from friends to best friends to lovers and it was such a sweet journey for the two of them as they discover new things about themselves and what they want from their lives. While also falling in love. Such a fun and cute story!
