The final book from these series and we get to see Carmichael and Croft get their HEA! So this one starts with the day Carmichael and Croft are supposed to have their first date. But after a lot of miscommunication, jealousy, and a bit of pride that dates doesn't happen. Fast forward six months later, Carmichael is still mad over what happened while Croft doesn't know exactly what he did wrong. Though after being called out a bit, he does realize that it work and a bit of a handsy coworker may have been the issue. But he isn't going to let go of Carmichael. Croft works as a lawyer and had been stuck on a very big case and now that he is just about to be free of it he is given the chance to breathe and realize that he almost lost Carmichael and will do whatever he can to fix it. What he doesn't plan is to get shot. But he'll take advantage of the fact that Carmichael is his neighbor and let her help him as he recovers. After Croft gets shot, Carmichael begins to realize that she may have let her pride get in the way of her reaching out to him. She could have easily lost him and she realizes that would have hurt her in so many ways. It isn't long until the two of them finally stop being silly and tell the other how they feel. But there is more than just their romance going on. The day before Croft was shot, Carmichael's house was being broken into. Something else is going on and the two of them are in the crossfire. Can they figure out what is going on before something worse happens? This was a quick story but filled with the characters we have come to love and a great way to end the series.

The stakes are higher in this latest book of the Hades & Persephone series. Demeter has not taken the announcement well of Hades and Persephone's upcoming marriage. She has summoned a snow storm that is causing a lot of trouble for the mortals. Not only in their deaths but it is stirring the mortal group that has taken more and more dangerous actions against the gods. Persephone and Hades's relationship has come a long way. They are stronger than they were in the past fews books as they learn to trust one another more. Persephone is digging deeper to control her powers because war is coming. Whether it is one with the dangerous mortals or the gods themselves. Everyone must be ready. A lot goes down in this book and to say too much will create a lot of spoilers but I think this has to be the favorite from the series of mine so far. Mostly, because Persephone has come so far from the last books. She learned hard lessons and it is finally sinking with her. She and Hades also have a better sense of communication as well. And there was a lot of romance, action, and twists and turns in this book as well. The ending alone has me demanding book four to come asap. With a crazy cliffhanger like that, I have to know what happens! I'm really glad I found this series and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Like in all the new series of the Rick Riordan Presents Imprint, Riordan has a message to reader. In this one, he mentions how he immediately got sucked into the story and couldn't put it down. Forgetting, that he needed to be editing. I now understand exactly what he meant. This book was fantastic. I couldn't put it down. It was so easy to read and so easy to get sucked in to the story. You can't help but be sucked in to Riley's story. It truly was a great one. So this story revolves around Korean mythology. My knowledge of it was zip to none before this book, but now I just want to dive in and learn even more! So this story follows Riley Oh. She was adopted by a family in the Gom clan. The Gom clan are healers. And because she was adopted she was no magical abilities unlike everyone else in the clan. When her sister Hattie is about to go through the initiation ceremony, Hattie comes up with a crazy plan. A plan that will share her powers with Riley. But when the attempt to do the spell, everything changes. Riley learns something about her past and literally so much blows up after that. It's insane and keeps you on the edge of your seat as truth bomb after truth bomb goes off. It really would be spoilers to spell it out, but this book was a lot of fun. The adventure and characters were great. The plot twists even crazier! I cannot wait for the second book after that ending. So good!

The final book in the Bellamy Creek series and we finally get Beckett's story! Beckett and Maddie have always been just friends. Despite the fact that Beckett has always had feelings her but in high school there was never a moment he could tell her, nor was he able to get out the words. So he let her go. Years later, Maddie is divorced and raising her son and she heads back to Bellamy Creek to finally take care of her mother's house. She is excited to show her son where she grew up but she is even more excited to see her dear friend, Beckett again. Through the years they have seen one another here and there and she will never forget how Beckett has always been there for her. But being home again she is starting to realize the secret crush she had on Beckett all those years ago may just be reciprocated. Truths are out and isn't long until Beckett and Maddie discover what a relationship could look like between them. But there are complications and old fears stirring up. Especially with Beckett. He is afraid to put himself out there, to tell Maddie how he feels because what if one day she wakes up and realizes she doesn't want him? How can something last forever? And Maddie wonders if she is rushing something once again. She has always jumped first and realizes too late the mistake. But perhaps Beckett wouldn't be a mistake this time. It will take a lot for them to let go of their fears and follow their hearts. Loved their story! Another great addition to this series and I'm so sad it is over!

It looks like I made it to the end of the Moo U Hockey series! Or at least I believe I did since there aren't any more listed on the World of True North site. This series has been great and this last one was a great addition. This story follows Moo U's goal, Spencer and Paige, a kind of famous beauty vlogger. Spencer is always focused on hockey and school. He has plans for the NHL but to keep that dream alive he has to focus and never get distracted. But when he meets Paige, everything changes. For the first time, he wants to be a little selfish and actually have a relationship with someone as awesome as Paige. But with so much he has going on and his dad chattering away in his ear about not blowing his shot, can he find a way to make it work with Paige? Meanwhile, Paige has always felt like an outsider in her family. Her siblings are perfect in her parents' eyes while she can never do anything right. Her vlog may be super successful and it's her passion and fun project, but to her parents, it is a waste of time. Time she should be focusing on studying for the LSATs so she can go to law school. And has she mentioned she doesn't want to be a lawyer? But meeting Spencer, she finally feels seen and important. And he gives her the idea to maybe fight harder for her future. Together, they make themselves better people. But can they have it all? This was a fun one, with pretty awesome characters. I loved reading the Moo U Hockey series! Such a fun series.

Another great book in the Moo U Hockey world. Snowballed follows Zoe and Noah. After Noah makes a snap decision to transfer to Moo U to play hockey, everything changes. For one, his dad isn't happy about his decision so in retaliation, he cuts Noah off financially. This leads him to Zoe. Zoe is desperate to keep her farm going despite her mom and brother's protests to sell it. But with her brother moving into the hockey house on campus, she is in desperate help to keep the farm going since she is on the women's hockey team and needs to balance school as well. But she is in luck. Noah accepts the offer to help with the farm in exchange for staying at Zoe's house with her and her mom. Their initial meetings are less than fantastic but over time, they actually get to know one another and something sparks. But neither of their lives are simple. Zoe still holds a lot of feelings and grief after losing her dad. She's never fully healed and has kept her life so busy, she never even had a chance to move on. Noah isn't happy with the rift between him and his dad. He hates fighting with his family and wants things normal. Together, they are what one another needs to get their lives back on track and move on to a happy future. Their story was a slow and steady sweet romance with some bumpy roads that only life can bring in order to reach their happily ever after. Definitely another great addition to this series.

After a short break, we are back at Moo U! And this was definitely a fun one to start the next wave of hockey stories. So this story follows Aria and Callan. Aria is a hockey player with the hopes of playing for the USA team. In order to do that though she leaves her last school to work with an excellent coach. She also transfer because her father is in the middle of a scandal with the hockey team he coaches. Afraid of what the bad rep could do to her chances playing for Team USA, she changes her last name and switches schools. Now all she has to do is keep her head down, tell no one who she really is, and have the best season of her life. What she doesn't expect is Callan. Her new unexpected suite mate, a kick ass hockey player, and the guy who...asks her to be his fake girlfriend in order to get his ex to take a hint and for other women to stay away so he can focus on hockey. But, their chemistry is off the charts and it doesn't take long before either decide to take their fake relationship into very real territory. But Aria struggles with telling Callan who she really is and there is someone trying to discover the truth about her past. It's only a matter of time until everything blows up. I really loved this story. Definitely another great addition to this series. Aria and Callan were such great characters and their banter was hilarious. Looking forward to reading the next one in this series!
