The Bridge Kingdom Book 2 |
My Review: 5/5 Stars
Loved this book and I am loving this series! The Bridge Kingdom was so good and I couldn't wait to get my hands on The Traitor Queen. And it was just as great as I hoped it would be! After the craziness that was book one, we return with Lara trying to convince the country she betrayed to give her a chance to save their king, the man she loves. Lara understands that her mistakes may never be forgiven, but that doesn't mean she won't do everything in her power to make it right. And that starts with rescuing Aren from her father. Lara recruits the sisters she saved to help her. Meanwhile, Aren is hurting physically and emotionally at the hands of Lara's father. Taken as his prisoner, Aren is tortured by watching his people try to rescue him and fail. And his anger for Lara is stronger than ever because on top of her betrayal, he still loves her. A rescue mission and then soon the two of them work together to return to Ithicana and save it. It isn't an easy journey for either of them. Again, physically and emotionally. They still love one another but know they can't have a future. That the people of Ithicana will not accept a traitor queen. It will take quite a lot for them to even consider it after everything that has happened. And finding out if it was possible was such a great part of the story. Then there were the battles and the new characters we meet. This story was fantastic. I absolutely loved it and I cannot wait to read more from this series!
