Briar U Book 1 |
Everyone says opposites attract. And they must be right, because there’s no logical reason why I’m so drawn to Colin Fitzgerald. I don’t usually go for tattoo-covered, video-gaming, hockey-playing nerd-jocks who think I’m flighty and superficial. His narrow view of me is the first strike against him. It doesn’t help that he’s buddy-buddy with my brother.
And that his best friend has a crush on me.
And that I just moved in with them.
Oh, did I not mention we’re roommates?
I suppose it doesn’t matter. Fitzy has made it clear he’s not interested in me, even though the sparks between us are liable to burn our house down. I’m not the kind of girl who chases after a man, though, and I’m not about to start. I’ve got my hands full dealing with a new school, a sleazy professor, and an uncertain future. So if my sexy brooding roomie wises up and realizes what he’s missing?
He knows where to find me.

My Review: 5/5 Stars
I loved the Off-Campus series when they came out and when I heard that it was getting a spin-off and that it was about Summer and Fitzy, I was so excited!! And it did not disappoint! We are back at Briar and though some of our favorite characters are no longer there, don't worry! Some make an appearance and remind me why I loved all of them. This book focuses on Summer and Fitzy, who had met in the previous books. Immediately you knew there was a spark between them, but the question was when would that happen? Well, like many love stories, it takes a bit. Both are fighting their feelings and their communication isn't the best. Okay, well Summer is perfectly fine with communicating, it's Fitzy who has a bit of trouble. And can you blame him? Summer is his opposite, light, outgoing, talkative, while Fitzy is clearly an introvert who enjoys designing is video game and playing hockey. But even he can't deny that there is something about Summer that has him wanting to come out of his shell. I loved their interactions and how their relationship developed. They needed to let go of their fears and admit what they wanted. And though they may be opposites, they really are perfect for one another. They bring out the best in each other. We were also introduced to some pretty awesome new characters and I would like a book for each of them!!! So excited for the next one.
I received an ARC for an honest review.
