My Review: 5/5 Stars
Finally it is Emmett’s story! Been looking forward to his since we got his twin brother, Benny’s, book earlier in the series. And it did not disappoint. Emmett knows he and Benny messed up when they switched places so many times when it came to their academics. And keeping that secret inside of Emmy is hitting him a lot harder at this point. He got kicked out of his college by taking the blame for something he didn’t do but he knew he didn’t want to be there anymore. Because the truth is, he misses hockey. And now he has to decide if it is time to do something about that. But things get a little harder. One, he never wanted to be far from his twin. But then two: Jonah. Jonah who also happens to have been Benny’s stats teacher last semester where Emmy pretended to be him until Benny finally dropped out. Jonah who showed up with his young nephew to where Emmy was coaching kids’ hockey. Jonah who Emmy has crushed on…and they finally spent a night together. But again, complications. Like knowing he can’t have a future with Jonah because he can’t come clean to what him and Benny did. And the fact that no one there knows Benny has a twin. Jonah knows Emmy is keeping something from him after the embarrassing moment that revealed that Emmy is a twin that is. He knows it is what is keeping Emmy from holding back. So what could be such a terrible secret that being together is such an impossible thing?
And as you can imagine, things eventually come to light. Choices will be made. And Jonah and Emmett will have to decide what kind of future they could have, that is if Jonah can forgive what Emmett has done. I loved their story! The Daltons are always the best and getting Emmett’s story was so satisfying. He is such an interesting character after getting his twin. Jonah was great too. He is so sweet and such a good balance for Emmett. This was a great way to end this series! I’m so sad this second season of Franklin U is over, but it was a great one! I truly enjoyed all the books in this series and I really hope there will be another season!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
