Fable Book 2 |
Trader. Fighter. Survivor.
With the Marigold ship free of her father, Fable and its crew were set to start over. That freedom is short-lived when she becomes a pawn in a notorious thug’s scheme. In order to get to her intended destination she must help him to secure a partnership with Holland, a powerful gem trader who is more than she seems.
As Fable descends deeper into a world of betrayal and deception she learns that her mother was keeping secrets, and those secrets are now putting the people Fable cares about in danger. If Fable is going to save them then she must risk everything, including the boy she loves and the home she has finally found.
Filled with action, emotion, and lyrical writing, New York Times bestselling author Adrienne Young returns with Namesake, the final book in the captivating Fable duology.

My Review: 5/5 Stars
I loved Fable and Namesake was definitely a fantastic sequel! Namesake picks up where the last one left off. Fable was taken by Zola and his crew in order to help him free him from his debt from Holland, a powerful gem trader. All Fable wants to do is find her way back to West and the rest of the crew from the Marigold. But she'll have to survive this first. And when she finally meets the famous Holland, it is more than she could have ever been prepared for. And after being reunited with West, they find themselves trapped in a very dangerous game. This story really gives insight to Isolde, Fable's mother. We learn about her origins and how her running away and making a life with Saint changed everything. Fable and West face a lot of challenges, neither are ready to lose the other but in trying to protect one other and their crew, they may be doing more harm than good. She has to learn to play the game of deception. A lot that goes on are spoilers so I don't want to give anything away, but this book had a lot of great surprises that kept me turning page after page, wanting to know more. I loved the direction this book went and I was satisfied with the ending. Definitely a great sequel to Fable!
