Psy-Changeling Trinity Book 2: Ocean Light by Nalini Singh

Ocean Light (Psy-Changeling Trinity, #2; Psy-Changeling, #17)
Psy-Changeling Trinity Book 2
New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh dives beneath the surface of her Psy-Changeling world into a story of passionate devotion and selfless love...

Security specialist Bowen Knight has come back from the dead. But there's a ticking time bomb in his head: a chip implanted to block telepathic interference that could fail at any moment--taking his brain along with it. With no time to waste, he should be back on land helping the Human Alliance. Instead, he's at the bottom of the ocean, consumed with an enigmatic changeling...

Kaia Luna may have traded in science for being a chef, but she won't hide the facts of Bo's condition from him or herself. She's suffered too much loss in her life to fall prey to the dangerous charm of a human who is a dead man walking. And she carries a devastating secret Bo could never imagine...

But when Kaia is taken by those who mean her deadly harm, all bets are off. Bo will do anything to get her back--even if it means striking a devil's bargain and giving up his mind to the enemy...

My Review: 5/5 Stars

Back into the Psy-Changeling world and it was amazing as usual! We are back and now we finally get to dive into the BlackSea clan. Well, more like a small glimpse. Because unlike the changelings on land, these guys are very secretive when it comes to revealing their animal forms. And as frustrating as that is, it's also neat way to keep you engaged and trying to figure out who is what. So our story here starts with Bowen waking up and realizing that he is not dead...yet. Though Bowen was saved from his very, very near fatal attack, he is not out of the woods yet. Bowen still has the deadly chip in his head that was placed there to protect him from Psy attacks, but is slowly killing him because it is degrading. However, there is hope! A BlackSea healer and scientist believes she may have a way of saving Bo, but the chance of success is very slim. Like super duper slim. And in a twist of fate or very bad luck, Bo finally meets a woman who is his equal, Kaia Luna. The moment they meet there is a strong connection between the two. And though Kaia wants to deny it, she is helpless against Bo. And though Bo knows he may not make it, his heart has other ideas.

Bo and Kaia's story was beautiful and touching and you can't help but root for the two of them. Both carry secrets from their pasts that have shaped them to who they are today. And though the scars are there, they fight against the pain because they know that what they have is so much stronger. While they fall in love and hope that Bo survives, there is another issue going on. There is trouble stirring between BlackSea and the Alliance. As tempting as it is to blame the other, Bo and Malachi, BlackSea's second to their alpha, both are too smart to let the issues crumbled the beginning of their alliance. Together they work to find the traitors in both their midsts and hope that they can repair the damage between humans and water changelings. Second book of this second season in the Psy-Changeling universe and it is just as kick ass and amazing as the rest of them, and I cannot wait for the next one! If you love the series this one won't disappoint!
