| Northern Roots Central Book 1 |
The most important hat trick of their lives has nothing to do with the score.
Olivier Lévesque and Noah Anderson were fierce rivals in the American Hockey League, playing on opposite sides of one of hockey’s oldest Montréal and Toronto. But when a trade brings Noah back to his home province of Québec, everything changes. Now they’re wearing the same Laval Draveurs jersey and chasing the same dream of playing in the NHL for the Montréal Nationals.
And then, they find something else in Félix Renaud.
With bleached blond hair, painted nails, and a fondness for lace, Félix couldn't be more different from the two hockey players who stumble into his life. As Noah and Olivier each grow closer to him, their rivalry begins to shift. Attraction takes its place, boundaries blur, and three separate connections become something none of them ever imagined.
In Montréal, hockey is woven into the fabric of the city, passed through generations and worn as a source of pride. But the closer the three become, the more complicated their futures grow. Noah knows how quickly a trade can take away any sense of home, while Olivier knows how much he stands to lose if the parts of himself he’s kept hidden collide with hockey. And Félix, who has built his life around being unapologetically himself and creating that same freedom for others, is facing uncertainty of his own as the community he has poured himself into is threatened.
Together, they begin to navigate the space between what they want and what the world expects from them, discovering there may be more than one way to belong, more than one way to love, and more than one version of the future worth fighting for.
Un tour du chapeau parfait.

My Review: 5/5 Stars
Olivier and Noah are rivals when they are on the ice. They always seem to just drive one another crazy. So what happens when they are put on the same team? Well, they gotta learn to play nice. But turns out they have a little more in common than they realized. And one of those things? Felix. Felix never imagined that when the fell for someone, it would be a hockey player. Let alone two. He met Olivier and Noah in two totally separate places and while he thought he would never see Noah again, he is surprised when he runs into Noah with Olivier. And even more surprised when they are on the same team. Talk about awkward and crazy and maybe exactly what they all needed. Because Felix won’t choose between the two of them. Not when his feelings for some them are both intense. And as they try to navigate this dating situation, Felix can see, maybe before they do, that Olivier and Noah need each other as well. It’s a beautiful and chaotic start to their relationship. But it’s one that just makes sense. Olivier has always hid that he was bi. Afraid of what it will mean to his family and to his career playing hockey. So he’s hidden away. But he also struggles with his English and knows that sets him apart from him team at times. For Noah, he has never felt like he had a true home. He’s been moved three times in three years for hockey. Settling down and making friends is scary when he can lose it. And for the first time, he fears being moved when he has opened his heart to Olivier and Noah. And for Felix, his dad and him don’t have the best relationship when it comes to understanding one another, but he isn’t afraid to be who he is. And with Olivier and Noah, he can do just that. I absolutely adored the relationship between the three of them. And how it grew stronger the more they all got to one another together and one on one. They are exactly what they all needed. A safe and loving space. A home. Great story to kick off this new series and I can’t wait for more!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
