My Review: 4/5 Stars
So I went into this story really not sure how I was going to feel about Rhett after the last book. And with how we met Logan, I made some assumptions there too. But! These two weren’t what I expected. And the story itself took so many twists and turns, it definitely kept me on my toes. The story starts off with this idea of Rhett and Logan fake dating so that Rhett can get his dad to leave Jack’s hockey career alone and in the long run hopefully get Jack to fall for him again. Logan has his own motives for agreeing. But what is one of the great twists of this book is that their fake dating isn’t so typical. And that’s just the beginning. These two have insane chemistry and are constantly challenging one another at every turn. It’s no wonder that their story shifts and these two realize that maybe they should be dating for real. And this is just the beginning of their story. So much happens as they work together to fight for one another and have the lives they both really want. They do a lot of growing together. Logan wasn’t sure what it would be like coming to live with his brother Mercy. But the longer he is there, it is clear just how much he wants to be part of their family. He wants that stability. And on top of finding his place there, he never expects to fall for Rhett. Rhett was hellbent on getting his ex back because he knows he messed up and let his father rule him for too long on what he should be doing in his relationship with Jack, but he is realizing that he has to take control of what and who he wants. I ended up really loving these two! And like I said earlier, so many twists and turns. It was so fun to read. Plenty of romance and humor and hijinks. I definitely can’t wait to see what happens in book 3. Based on what we have seen of that couple so far, oh man, it’s gonna be too good to put down.
