The second book in the Dark Olympus series and I have to say I loved this one a lot better than the first one. This modern version of Olympus is definitely one of the most interesting takes on the Olympians. But what really got me this book was Psyche and Eros. They have to be some of the most interesting characters and mix in the trouble they get into this story, I couldn't put it down. Eros is the son of the current Aphrodite. And for him, it's not the most pleasant place to be. His mother has shaped him into her assassin. Over the years, Eros has realized exactly what his mother has done but feels it is too late for him. He has become the monster she wanted him to be. And his next target is Psyche. But when the time comes to carry out the deed, Eros can't do it. Psyche is perhaps the one good thing in Olympus and the way she treats him... Eros can't let her go. Can't stand to see her light go out. Not for his mother. He does the one thing he thinks will keep her safe. Marry her. But even that may not be enough. Together Psyche and Eros will have to find a way to out maneuver Aphrodite before someone gets hurt. And despite their circumstances, it is only a matter of time before their pretend relationship turns into something real. 

Like I said I loved Psyche and Eros. They are such a great match for one another. Psyche understands why Eros thinks he is a monster and even if he is, he becomes her monster. And she knows he is capable of love even if he thinks he isn't. Psyche shows him what being loved really looks like. And Psyche is such a kick ass heroine. Not afraid to be who she is and proud of her body. She is the smartest of her sisters and knows how to play the games of Olympus better than anyone. The story was filled with steamy romance and some pretty great action. Plus, we got to meet some new characters and Olympus only gets more interesting by the time the story is over. I can't wait for the next one!

When I first read What If It's Us, I remember how much I LOVED that book. It was the most adorable and dorky and cutest thing I had ever read. And when I looked at my review for it, I ended with I wish there another book for these amazing characters. And three years later, I got my wish! And it was once again amazing! You will not be disappointed with the sequel. Not with such amazing characters and the stories they had left to share with us. I once again, could not put the book down. The story takes place two years after the first one. Ben and Arthur have been broken up for a while. The distance and college made things complicated and neither could really get out of their own way. They both loved one another but how do you tell the other when you had agreed that things probably wouldn't work out when you lived so far? Now both are in new relationships. Arthur has a sweet boyfriend and Ben is trying to see if there is a future with this new boy he really likes. But the universe has other plans for them. Like sending Arthur to New York. To Ben. For a new internship opportunity. Perhaps this is the start to find a way back to their friendship and maybe to each other. That is, if they can once again get out of their own way and really decide what they want. This was written so well. You can see how much Arthur and Ben hurt when they had to say goodbye to one another and tried to move on, but things haven't been perfect since then. They are at a point in their lives where they are trying to figure out what they want in their lives and seeing one another again, doesn't make it that much more clear. The book really shows them slowly finding a way back to one another. And I loved every moment. And you can't forget their friends. Dylan and Samantha are Ben's best friends and they are always the highlight of these books! I laughed, I cried, and those epilogues really got me. Adored this story so much. And I'm sad their story is officially over. If you loved the first book, this is a must-read!

My Review: 4/5 Stars 

It all comes down to this. In Sterlyn and Griffin's final books everything is revealed. Just when you think you have all the answers figured out, more things are revealed and they are crazy. This story picks up immediately where it left off. Sterlyn, Griffin, and their friends are escaping those who threaten to kidnap Sterlyn. Who they found along the way is someone they never expected to. And just when they think they have it figured out, more unexpected allies arrive to help. It will take everything Sterlyn and Griffin have to unite their packs and take their seats on the council once and for all. Lots of action in this one, plenty of twists and turns, and revelations that will have you reeling. Plus we get to see a little bit more about Shadow City and what the next series in this world may look like. I really enjoyed this final book for Sterlyn and Griffin and I'm glad there is still left to explore in this particular world.

I finished my ARC of The Best Men and found out that a prequel was released today as well! So of course I had to read it and it was an excellent story that leads right up to where The Best Men begins. We get a little background on both Mark and Asher. The story starts with Hannah telling Mark that she has met Flip. And immediately we see Mark's apprehension and start getting a peek of why he worries about her relationship. We also get the first meetings between Mark and Asher and it makes their story so much sweeter. Mark immediately recognizes his attraction to Asher and knows he has to keep it locked down. Though how long that will last... well you'll have to read the next book. And as for Asher turns out he is curious about Mark too but at the moment he believes that Mark is straight. Little does he know! Loved this short novella. It made everything so much better. And we received a little more insight on who they are. Definitely read this if you enjoyed The Best Men!

Loved this book! Definitely a great start to my 2022 reading challenge. I absolutely adored this story. I loved Sarina Bowen's books and her team up with Lauren Blakely just means that I have to check out Lauren's books next! 

So this story follows Mark and Asher. It starts with an engagement, a baby, and some pretty drunk texts. So Mark's sister, Hannah, is marrying Asher's best friend, Flip. And though Mark is happy for his sister finding love, he can't help but be worried that she is rushing in this relationship. It seems like she had only just met Flip and now she is pregnant and ready to walk down the aisle. Okay and he may be experiencing a little bit of PTSD because it sounds like the beginning of his last relationship that recently ended with a divorce and a six year old daughter who is hurt that her parents no longer live together. And he could have put on his poker face...except alcohol may have changed that bit. Specifically the texts that were supposed to be for his sister's eyes only went to a group chat... with the groom and best man. Where not only did he warn his sister she was moving too fast but he may have admitted that Flip's best friend is super hot. Cue the embarrassment. Lucky for Mark, Asher focuses on the fact that Mark thinks he is hot but he also won't let Mark live it down. To make up for his drunken texts he promises his sister he will fly down early to their destination wedding venue and make sure everything is set for the big day. But he won't be going alone. Hannah and Flip as Asher to go with Mark. So now it's just the two of them and things are about to change drastically between them. Turns out Asher finds Mark pretty attractive as well and wonders what Mark is like when he is spouting his mathematical facts or what he looks like under his polos. 

Their story was just so fun! Their banter was hilarious, their romance so sweet. I was cheering them on the whole time. Their fling could only last as long as the wedding but what happens when they catch feelings? A few more complications may occur before the two of them are ready to be together and I was all for it! And turns out there is a bit of a prequel novella that was just released, so off to the next one!
