Night Rebel Book 2 |
In the newest Night Rebel novel, set in New York Times bestselling author Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress world, beautiful, daring vampire Veritas risks all to protect Ian...
Some promises are meant to be broken...
Veritas spent most of her life as a vampire Law Guardian. Now, she's about to break every rule by secretly hunting down the dark souls that were freed in order to save Ian. But the risks are high. For if she gets caught, she could lose her job. And catching the sinister creatures might cost Veritas her own life.
Some vows are forever...
Ian's memories might be fragmented, but this master vampire isn't about to be left behind by the woman who entranced him, bound herself to him, and then disappeared. So what if demons, other Law Guardians, and dangerous, otherworldly forces stand against them? Come hell or high water, Ian intends to remind Veritas of the burning passion between them, because she is the only person seared on his mind--and his soul...

My Review: 5/5 Stars
Been waiting WAY too long for this book and now that it has finally arrived and I have read it, I will admit it was SO worth the wait. WOW! Has to be hands down my favorite of the series. Shades of Wicked was my favorite from the whole Night Huntress World, but Wicked Bite just beat it. I love Ian and Veritas. They have become my favorite characters of the series. I have always loved Ian's character. Super hilarious, he was one I always loved to see when he appeared. You never knew what he was going to do. And Veritas took me by surprise. She showed up before but only gave us a small part of her. Now reading these books in her point of view, you get to know her and it is pretty cool. This book was just brilliant. Ian's memories are in shambles but he knows something is missing. Well, someone. And he won't stop until he finds her and remembers it all. Veritas is on a mission despite her broken heart of leaving Ian behind to protect him and because she believes he doesn't remember her. But with Ian's stubbornness, she finds him back in her life and together they team up to end Dagan for good. This book doesn't disappoint. I don't want to spoil, but I was satisfied with the events that went down. I was afraid things would be dragged out but it didn't. And we got some familiar faces and new information that I hope will just tell us there are more books to come after Ian and Veritas's story is complete. Which brings me to that cliffhanger. Things just got SUPER interesting. No idea what is gonna go down next, but I don't care cause Veritas and Ian are gonna figure it out together and probably kick some ass as they do it. Great story. Need the third book right now. Fingers crossed it won't take as long as this book took to get into my hands. Loved this!
